In Febuary of 1991 a group of 16 people met at Soccer City, in Whitby Ontario and from that meeting a new
Glasgow Rangers Supporters Club came into existence.
The members present that first meeting were in agreement that the Club would be called The Whitby Glasgow
Rangers Supporter Club and from that agreement arranged with Soccer City to try and show any Rangers
games that were being broadcast live from Scotland.
The club then made arrangements with the owner of The Earl of Durham Pub to use the top part of his
premises as a Club Room. The next step for the Club was to rent a bigger building where the Club could run it’s own functions, and this was
done with the rental of premises on Centre St.in Whitby. At this time the Club had arranged with The Royal Scot
Pub in Ajax, to show any live games available to be shown there.

The next step for the Club was to move to The Ranch Bar in Ajax, from there the Club moved to
Churchill’s, in Whitby.

Finally after 8 years of travelling we were able to move into our own Club Room
(3600 sq ft) in the centre of Whitby, in May of 1999.
The work involved to get to that point was unbelievable, with countless people putting in more time than anyone
could ever expect. But all the hard work was more than worth it.In April of
2004 we had to move to new premises, and found a suitable site at 119 Consumers
Drive in Whitby, which had been the old Moose Lodge. Again with many of
our members chipping in, we renovated (see below) and reconstructed the new site
to fit our requirements, and the new Whitby Rangers Supporters Club was
officially opened in July of 2004.

To-day we are in a 3000 sq ft. ClubRoom, with full Bar facilities, and the games being shown on T.V.’s
, located
all around the ClubRoom, and 2 large drop down screens.
