Memories Revisited - Chapter 9

The next morning came and Luke and Lucky headed over to Audrey's house. The got out of the car and walked up to the door and rang the bell. When no one answered, Lucky opened the front door. "Anyone home?" He called out.

"Doesn't look like anyone's here." Luke said as he entered the house.

Lucky ran passed him and headed up the stairs to Liz's room. When he entered he noticed all of Liz's things were gone. "Dammit!"

Luke came running up the stairs. "What is it, did you find her?"

"No, they left." Lucky walked over to the window. "I can't believe I missed her. Now what am I going to do? She's in so much pain dad."

"I know son, we'll find her. Let's look around and see if we can find anything."

Luke walked over to the dresser and then to the desk. A envelope caught his eyes with Lucky's name on it. "Cowboy look at this."

Lucky went over to where is father was standing and Luke handed him the envelope. Lucky held it in is hands and then tore it open. He unfolded the paper and began to read it. Luke could see the tears in his son's eyes so he decided to give him some privacy. By the time Lucky finished the letter, he was in full-fledged tears. He held the letter up to his heart and then walked over to he closet. He found the shoebox and when he opened it he cried even more. It was everything he had given to Liz, he could not believe she saved it all this time. Lucky took the box and the letter and went downstairs to his father. "She went back to LA with that bastard."

Luke looked at his son and his heart broke for him. "What do you want to do?"

"I'm going after her."

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"NO dad, I need to find her and get her and her children away from that sorry excuse of a man. All I need you to do is look after Lauren for me. She is supposed to go back to Pam tomorrow."

"Okay cowboy your mother and I will take care of everything here. You just find Liz and bring her back here."

"I will dad."

Luke and Lucky hugged. "I love her so much dad."

"I know you do cowboy, good luck."

Lucky and Luke left the house and Lucky headed to the airport. He got on the plane and settled in his seat on his flight to LA. He had to find Elizabeth before it was too late.
