Quartermaine ballroom:
Lucky and Elizabeth lost all recognition of time and space as they continued to feast from each other following their engagement. They were lost to the thunderous applause and the snickering and whistling that had erupted around them, until Luke's loud shout.
''Save some for the honeymoon kids,'' hollered Luke at the top of his lungs, causing everyone to laugh harder and louder.
Lucky and Elizabeth pulled slightly apart slowly, Elizabeth blushing but unable to look away from Lucky and unwilling to leave his arms.
Lucky looked tenderly down at Elizabeth for a second brushing fresh tears from her cheeks before pulling her into another warm embrace.
Ooohs and ahhhs were heard coming from all the guests as the young couple remained wrapped in each other's arms. ''So,'' said Emily, shouting above the other noises in the ballroom. ''When's the wedding going to be?''
Lucky and Elizabeth pulled apart and turned to face everyone, waiting for silence. ''We were thinking of a week from Saturday,'' announced Lucky when the room fell silent.
As expected everyone was shocked, Theresa Steele making the biggest fuss about the matter. ''Darling, I love you,'' said Theresa to Lucky. ''You know I can pull these things together with my eyes close however, a week from Saturday is only 12 days from now,'' wailed Theresa, looking at Laura for help.''
''Laura, he's your son too, do something. Tell him we need more than two weeks to plan the beautiful wedding he and Elizabeth deserves.''
Lucky and Elizabeth exchanged knowing glances, Elizabeth giving Lucky a look that said, ''I told you so.'' Lucky however was unmoved by the horrified look he was getting from Theresa. Looking at Elizabeth, Lucky gave her the look that said, ''we have a deal.''
Laura tried to act cool about the early date but a few minutes later she could contain herself no longer as her mother's instinct refused to be silence.
Luke burst out laughing when Laura joined Theresa in pleading with Lucky to be reasonable. ''I knew you couldn't resist darling,'' laughed Luke, grinning broadly at his son who refused to budge on the matter.
''Moms, you are both talented, smart women, I have no doubt that this wedding can be pulled together in less than two weeks. We will all work together, all my family, Elizabeth and I and all our friends,'' said Lucky looking around at the room filled with all the people he loved most in the world.
''That's right son,'' said Luke grinning away with Michael. ''Stand your ground, don't let them pressure you into changing the wedding date. Trust me son, you give in on this and they'll make you wait at least three months before you get to say 'I do.'''
''Michael Steele, I insist you tell your son that a proper wedding needs more than two weeks to plan,'' pouted Theresa, almost stomping her feet in frustration.
Luke leaned over and whispered something to Michael and after a short exchange between the two men, Michael stepped back a bit while Luke addressed Theresa.
''Theresa, Michael loves you a lot, but he wants you to know that he thinks our son is right and should go ahead with his current wedding plans.
See Theresa, Michael has never gotten over the fact that you made him wait six months after he proposed to you to get married. Yep, Theresa. I am afraid to tell you this, but Michael's been carrying a grudge for 30 years.''
Theresa narrowed her eyes as she regarded Michael. ''Is that so, Michael, why don't you come out from behind Luke and tell me all about this grudge you've been nursing for 30 years.''
Michael looked down and slowly stepped further behind Luke, effectively blocking himself from Theresa's warning glare.
Luke burst out laughing, but then sobered and swallowed hard when he saw Laura advancing towards him. Luke backed up quickly.
''Well, what are you waiting for and invitation? Move man,'' said Luke to Michael. ''Don't just stand there like a log, move can't you see them coming for us?'' In a flash both Michael and Luke had disappeared from the room, panting heavily when they made it safely to the Quartermaine's foyer.
Luke surveyed the area quickly, but hearing Laura's voice calling him, took off again. Luke with Michael right behind him dashed down the nearest hallway and didn't stop until they were safely in the kitchen.
Breathing heavily, Luke bent forward bracing one hand on his knees and gesturing wildly with the other. ''Michael, you have to learn to make a faster get-away, the wives almost caught us back there. You slowed us down. Now listen this is how it works. Pissed off wife charging towards you. You run, run man. Run like the wind.''
While Theresa and Laura left the ballroom in hot pursuit of their wayward husbands the rest of the guest took the opportunity to kiss and congratulate Lucky and Elizabeth.
After all the hugs and well wishing was finally out of the way, Elizabeth and Lucky excused themselves and made a dash for the gazebo to be alone.
''Oh my goodness,'' said Elizabeth, breathing heavily. ''Yea, and just think that wasn't even our wedding reception,'' said Lucky, finishing Elizabeth's sentence.
''I told you they would have a fit over having only two weeks to plan this wedding,'' said Elizabeth. ''Yep, but as long as we stand strong there is nothing they can do, except go along with it.
Elizabeth, I know my Moms, they can plan a wedding in two weeks as good as six months. Trust me darling, it's going to be everything you ever dreamed your wedding would be.''
''I know it will be. You will be there and that's already my dream come through,'' said Elizabeth, pulling Lucky into her arms.
Elizabeth pulled back and regarded Lucky for a moment, just smiling in wonder at him. She shook her head almost in disbelief before she addressed him. ''What did I possibly ever do to deserve you LuckyMalcolm SpencerSteele?''
Lucky threw his head back and laughed at Elizabeth's reference. ''That's my line isn't it beautiful?'' ''No,'' said Elizabeth, running her thumb lightly across Lucky's lips. ''I am the one who is blessed Lucky. I am so happy and it's all because of you.
I was merely existing until you walked into Luke's and back into my life. Before that night when I pictured the future it was without interest or any sense of hope that my life would be anything but empty.
You brought light back into my world Lucky and now I am so happy. I think even happier than I was when we were together before. I think back then, I took our future for granted and now I don't, I never will again,'' finished Elizabeth.
Lucky was completely overwhelmed by Elizabeth's honest heartfelt words. He smiled and pulled her to him, wrapping her into his arms for a moment. Burying his face in Elizabeth's hair and breathing deeply the scent of her shampoo, Lucky allowed the tears he was trying to hold back to fall silently down his cheeks.
''Let's call us even,'' whispered Lucky a minute later. ''I love you so much Elizabeth and I feel so complete knowing you love me too. I too feel blessed to have you in my life again and I will never take our future for granted.
Listening to you just now, I realize that I took us for granted before too. I didn't really mean to, but I did. I thought that since we loved each other and wanted to be together that somehow we would just live happily ever after and everything would be simple.
It doesn't always work out that way. I know that now. Sometimes life gets in the way and circumstances you could never ever predict interfere and change everything.
You and I are living monument to that fact. So, I am promising you now to love you everyday and to never take our future for granted again.'' ''I promise too,'' whispered Elizabeth.
The music coming from the ballroom floated into the gazebo enticing Lucky and Elizabeth to sway together in each other's arms.
''Mozart right?'' ''Yep,'' said Lucky, but don't ask me to tell you which movement that is.'' Lucky and Elizabeth burst out laughing at that, as they continued to dance to the classical music.
Quartermaine Kitchen:
''You two better lower you voices if you intend to remain inconspicuous,'' said Danielle, walking up behind Luke and Michael.
Both Michael and Luke jumped ten feet into the air when they heard Danielle's voice. Michael glared at Danielle as she and Sly burst out laughing. ''A little jumpy tonight aren't we gentlemen?'' Danielle laughed. ''Look,'' said Luke. ''Don't sneak up on men hiding from their wives Danielle, it's just mean.''
Recovering from his shock a moment later, Luke began teasing Danielle and Sly about how cute they looked together. ''So Sly, when can we expect you to pop the big question?''
Sly stammered something inaudible, his face turning bright red while Danielle looked like she wanted to crawl under the nearest rock. Michael and Luke held each other up as laughter rocked their bodies.
Glaring at Luke, Sly shook his fingers at him and gave him a warning look. ''Danielle,'' said Sly. ''Why don't we go find Theresa and Laura and let them know where they can find their husbands?
''Yes,'' answered Danielle, ''why don't we do that?'' ''Time to go,'' shouted Luke taking off out the kitchen door and around the nearest corner with Michael following closely.
''Do you play poker Michael?'' ''No, can't say that I do,'' answered Michael when he and Luke were safely concealed in the Quartermaine's gym.
''Well, I think it's time you learned Michael, do you have any money?'' ''I have money.'' ''Good, let's corral some of the men here and get a game going,'' said Luke, his eyes twinkling.
Whipping out his cell phone a second later, Luke dialed Sonny and when he got him on the line directed him to gather the fellows and meet him and Michael in the gym.
Quartermaine's Kitchen:
Sly could see that Danielle was still embarrassed and made a mental promise to strangle Luke later. ''Don't let Luke get to you,'' said Sly. ''He's just insane and likes nothing more than to embarrass his relatives. Now that he seems to have taken a liking to your Dad, you might as well consider yourself fresh meat.''
Danielle groaned, covering her face with her hands. ''Are you saying he's always like this?'' ''Yep, just wait until he gets to know you a little better,'' warned Sly.
''I am used to it I suppose, my family teases me mercilessly too, so I guess I will just have to prepare myself for more of the same,'' smiled Danielle.
Sly cleared his throat and met Danielle's eyes. ''What Luke just said not withstanding, I would like to see you, Danielle. I mean, I really enjoy spending time with you and I would like that to continue.'' ''I enjoy being with you too, Sly and I look forward to seeing more of you,'' said Danielle shyly.
The two stood smiling at each other for awhile, moving closer together until their bodies were only inches apart. Sly lowered his head a second later to meet Danielle's upturned lips, drawing in a deep breath when their lips met.
''Well, well, well,'' said Lucky, walking into the foyer with a glowing Elizabeth on his arms. ''What do we have here. Could it be my little sister and my cousin in a lip lock?''
Danielle and Sly turned and scowl at Lucky who was beaming at them. ''Elizabeth,'' said Danielle. ''Can't you do something to him, muzzle him maybe?''
Elizabeth laughed and looked over at Lucky lovingly. ''How can I put a muzzle on this gorgeous mouth,'' said Elizabeth, pulling Lucky down for a quick kiss before turning back to Sly and Danielle.
''Lucky,'' said Sly. ''Whatever you are doing to make Liz glow like this keep it up. It's wonderful to see and I can't think of anyone who deserves it more.''
Lucky smiled down at Elizabeth, his eyes dancing with joy. ''Isn't she beautiful?'' Lucky asked, his eyes never leaving Elizabeth's, whose smile only grew brighter with each passing minute.
Danielle and Sly smiled at Lucky and Elizabeth before turning to gaze into each other's eyes. ''Lucky, you don't mind if we leave the party, do you? I want to talk to Danielle and it's getting late.''
''Not at all, you two kids run along,'' said Lucky still beaming down into Elizabeth's smiling face. Neither Lucky nor Elizabeth was aware of Sly and Danielle making their exit. ''So, Mr. Spencer are you going to kiss me or are you going to keep staring at my lips,'' smiled Elizabeth.
''Kiss,'' whispered Lucky a second before he captured Elizabeth's waiting lips. Elizabeth reached up and wrapped her arms around Lucky, pulling him more tightly to her.
Lucky groaned when he felt Elizabeth's body molding to his in all the right places. ''We need to get out of here now Elizabeth, or I am going to embarrass myself,'' whispered Lucky a minute later. ''Lucky, you can't just leave your own party. It's not over yet,'' answered Elizabeth, she too wanting to be alone with Lucky.
Lucky pulled Elizabeth tightly to him, burying his face in the curve of her neck and reveling in the scent and feel of her. ''We could just sneak off,'' whispered Lucky. ''What could they do to us, we are grown ups,'' entreated Lucky, pulling back to look hungrily down at Elizabeth.
''Ok, let's go'' said Elizabeth biting her bottom lips as she felt the passion between them intensified. Lucky captured Elizabeth lips for another deep kiss before taking her arms and leading her towards the door.
''Going somewhere?'' Came Nicholas's voice from behind Lucky and Elizabeth's retreating back. The two stopped short and glanced quickly at each other before turning slowly around to face Nicholas and Emily.
Lucky laughed without humor, scowling at Nicholas and Emily. ''Are you two following us?'' ''No we were just trying to find you to ask a simple question,'' defended Emily.
''Well you found us,'' said Elizabeth annoyance written all over her face. ''What can we do for you?'' ''Our driver, Smiths had a family emergency and had to leave,'' said Nicholas.
''We were wondering if you would give us a lift, since it's not out of your way and since we are pretty sure you guys are ready to leave.'' ''Ready to leave? It's my party, why would I be ready to leave?''
Nicholas gave Lucky a look that told him that he and Emily were on to them. ''Fine,'' said Lucky. ''So we were leaving, but we can't take you home, we are heading in the opposite direction.
Nicholas looked at Emily, a puzzled expression creasing his face. ''What do you mean opposite direction? Where are you two going?''
Elizabeth turned to face her fiancée, she too looking puzzled. Lucky groaned and threw his hands in the air. ''Thanks a lot Nicholas, now you've ruined my surprise for Elizabeth.'' ''Surprise? You've got a surprise for me?'' ''Not for long, thanks to these two,'' said Lucky frowning at Emily and Nicholas.
Elizabeth clapped her hands together and jumped a little with glee. ''Come on Lucky just tell me what the surprise is.'' Lucky glared once more at Emily and Nicholas before smiling down at Elizabeth.
''I have arranged for us to be flown to be Paris tonight so you can shop for a wedding dress.'' Elizabeth could barely contain her excitement as Lucky continued.
''I thought we could stay a couple of days and perhaps go to Italy, Danielle and my mom are always raving about the shopping there. What do you think? I have already made all the arrangements and the plane is waiting,'' finished Lucky.
Elizabeth leapt into Lucky's arms. ''What do I think? What do I think? Lucky, I can't think of anywhere I would rather shop for a wedding gown than Paris and Italy,'' exclaimed Elizabeth.
Lucky lifted Elizabeth up and twirled her around once before setting her back on her feet. ''There, see Nicholas, busy, can't give you a lift, got to go. Come on sweetie, let's blow this joint.'' ''Yes lets,'' said Elizabeth smiling and turning to leave with Lucky.
''Wait! Not so fast,'' said Emily, reaching out a hand to stop Lucky and Elizabeth before they could make their escape.
''Emily,'' complained Elizabeth. ''This house is covered with servants get one of them to take you home.'' ''No, no, no. That's not it,'' said Emily. ''Then what?''
''Elizabeth, girlfriend, partner in crime, are you really planning on shopping for a wedding dress without me along for the ride?'' Elizabeth paused to think, clearly torn between her desire to leave now alone with Lucky and her wish to have Emily with her when she shopped for a wedding dress.
Lucky seeing Elizabeth's dilemma decided to step in. Turning Elizabeth around to face him, he smiled down at her tenderly.
''I wasn't thinking sweetie, of course you will want Emily along when you shop for your wedding gown. Instead of leaving for Paris tonight, why don't we postpone the trip until tomorrow, that way Emily can come along.
Elizabeth hugged Lucky to her, smiling broadly. ''Are you sure this is ok with you Lucky? I mean you made plans and everything.'' ''Elizabeth, it's perfect, in fact I should have thought of it before. Also,'' said Lucky, turning to Nicholas. ''Perhaps Nicholas could also join us, that way while you and Emily are shopping he and I can spend some quality time together.''
Nicholas nodded as he and Lucky watched Emily and Elizabeth hug each other with excitement. Turning to Lucky Nicholas smiled. ''You do realize that we won't see either of them once we land in Paris right?'' ''Yes but it's worth it to see Elizabeth so happy,'' answered Lucky. ''Yea, she does look happier than I have seen her since, well, since you went away,'' said Nicholas. ''I plan to do everything in my power to see that she stays this happy.'' ''I have no doubt you will,'' said Nicholas, clasping his brother to him for a spontaneous embrace.
''Guys,'' said Lucky a minute later when he was finally able to interrupt Emily and Elizabeth's happy chatter. ''If we don't make a run for it now, we'll never get out of here. So I say since the trip to Paris is on hold temporarily, why don't we sneak away now.''
The others agreed so after looking around quickly to make sure no one was around the four made a speedy escape, not stopping until they were all safely outside. After giving instructions to the driver the four were finally on their way home.
Quartermaine's Kitchen:
Theresa turned to Laura, her eyes narrowed. ''Paris huh? Without us, well, we'll just see about that,'' said Theresa.
''Just think if we weren't trying to sneak upon Luke and Michael we would have never happened upon this bit of information,'' complained Laura.
''Worse,'' said Theresa. ''If it weren't for Emily and Nicholas we wouldn't be able to get back into the game. Can you imagine, the nerve of Lucky and Elizabeth trying to sneak off to Paris on a shopping expedition without us.''
''To shop for a wedding dress no less,'' added Laura, completely in tune with Theresa. ''Wait until I tell Danielle and Patricia,'' said Theresa. ''Oh, not to mention when I tell Lulu and Lacy,'' agreed Laura.
''Come on Laura, let's go find our husbands, we've got plans to make and fast.'' The two hurried out of the kitchen on a mission to find Luke and Michael new goals in mind.
Quartermaine Gym:
Luke eyed Michael suspiciously, in all his life he had never experienced a more conning hustle as the one Michael had managed to pull off tonight.
Soon after getting off the phone with Sonny, Luke had whipped out his poker deck, something he never left home without. He had quickly explained the game of poker to a innocent looking Michael, who had nodded in all the right places and had even managed to look confused at times.
Within minutes of his call to Sonny, Jax, Edward, AJ, Ned, Jason, Stephan and a few other men along with Sonny had descended on the gym and moments later a fierce game of poker had ensued.
During the first go around, when Michael trussed them all, including Luke, he had chalked it up to beginner's luck, but after a second win going to Michael, Luke knew he had been had.
The gloves came off then bringing the match to its current head, with Michael and Luke watching each other intensely from across the table.
They were both about even now in their winnings and were currently down to their last hand, winner take all. ''You are bluffing,'' growled Luke from across the table. ''Try me,'' returned Michael, an unreadable expression on his face.
The other men watched as Luke and Michael continued to regard each other from across the table. They all turned when they heard the shouts of Laura and Theresa charging into the room.
''Luke let's go,'' said Laura. ''We've got things to do.'' ''Yes, you too Michael, no time for games, this is serious,'' finished Theresa.
When Theresa and Laura were completely ignored by both Michael and Luke, they glanced over at each other quickly before descending on their surprised husbands.
Michael and Luke both yelled NO, when Theresa and Laura snatched their cards from their hands tossing them into the mix with the other cards.
''Darling, what have you done,'' I was just about to take Doc Sr., here to the cleaners.'' ''In your dreams Spencer,'' scoffed Michael. ''I was about to truss you again.'' ''We'll never really know now will we?'' ''Yes we will if we have a rematch,'' challenged Michael, egging Luke on.
''You are on Michael,'' yelled Luke. Tomorrow night, six o clock, my club, we'll see who trusses who. Truss, I have never used the word truss before,'' scowled Luke. That's it Michael, you've got to stop using those fancy words around me. I am very impressionable, first Stephan and his 'BEHEST,' now you and your truss.''
''No one will be trussing anyone tomorrow, we've got other plans,'' said Theresa, taking a reluctant Michael by the hand and pulling him away.
''What? What does she mean by that? Laura! Michael and I have plans for a rematch,'' said Luke trailing after Laura.'' ''Another time Luke,'' said Laura. ''There is nothing more to discuss,'' added Laura, when Luke started to argue.
Webber residence:
Lucky and Elizabeth stumbled into their bedroom, Lucky kicking the door closed behind them. ''Alone at last,'' whispered Lucky against Elizabeth lips as he began backing her towards the bed. They tumbled together in a crumpling heap on the bed a few seconds later, kissing and laughing.
Elizabeth sighed softly when she felt Lucky's tongue caressing the seam of her lips. She parted them immediately to welcome his hot probing tongue searching and finding hers.
Elizabeth pressed closer to Lucky as the kiss deepened. Her hands roamed his body through the soft silk of his shirt, caressing him tenderly.
As the pressure in her body began to build, Elizabeth could stand the barrier between them no longer and began working the buttons on the front of his shirt loose.
When she had loosened the last button, Elizabeth quickly slipped her hands inside his open shirt. She reveled in the feel of his hard muscled chest flexing against the palm of her hands.
Lucky groaned deeply when he felt Elizabeth's cool hands pressed against his flesh. He pulled her tightly to him pressing his hips against hers, moving his hand slowly up her sides.
Elizabeth's hands moved to Lucky's waist and reached for his belt, trying to tug it loose. Lucky shifted when he felt Elizabeth's hands on his belt and pulled slightly away to allow her to loosen it.
When the belt was loosened, Elizabeth pulled it free and helped Lucky to shed his pants and boxers quickly followed by his already open shirt.
In a flash, Lucky had Elizabeth's dress and underclothing off, discarding them in a heap by the side of the bed with his own clothing.
Once they were both free of their clothing, Elizabeth pulled Lucky back to her for a hungry kiss. Lucky lowered his weight onto Elizabeth and together they resumed their explorations of each other.
Lucky let his mouth travel from Elizabeth's lips to the slender column of her throat, pressing damp kisses everywhere his lips touched.
''Yes, right there,'' whispered Elizabeth, as Lucky found a particular sensitive spot behind Elizabeth's ears. Elizabeth moaned a minute later as Lucky's lips left the spot she enjoyed so much to travel slowly downwards until he reached the valley between her breast.
''You are so beautiful,'' whispered Lucky. ''I have never seen anyone more beautiful,'' continued Lucky as he suckled first one then the other breast. His voice trailed off a second later when he felt Elizabeth's fingers raking through his hair and down his back.
''You make me feel beautiful Lucky, ahhhh…'' Elizabeth was already on fire but her body heated further at Lucky's fevered praises.
As Lucky continued to knead and suckle Elizabeth's breast, she arched her body, pressing herself more fully against Lucky's hands and lips.
Lucky stroked Elizabeth's body tenderly. He was still in awe of how beautiful she was and how well they fit together.
Lucky almost came apart when he felt Elizabeth's hands closed around his member lightly stroking the length of him.
Kissing her deeply, Lucky moaned as Elizabeth's pressure on him increase, causing him to take her hands away from him a second later. ''If you keep that up, this will be over before it get started,'' whispered Lucky, before kissing Elizabeth deeply again.
Lucky moved his lips to kiss her flat stomach, his hands caressing her inner thighs and then moving upwards until he found her waiting heat. Lucky caressed her gently there for a minute, reveling in the muffled cries escaping her lips.
Elizabeth shifted, parting her thighs so Lucky could settle more intimately against her. She ran her hands along his back, gripping his tight hard buttocks firmly in her hands. Tugging gently, Elizabeth signaled to Lucky that she needed him right then.
Elizabeth kissed Lucky deeply when he filled her body with his own. They moaned together as Lucky began to move inside her. His strokes began slow and easy, but quickly became more demanding when he felt Elizabeth writhing wildly beneath him.
Lucky moaned more deeply when he felt Elizabeth's legs sliding up his legs and circling him, pulling them closer together as they moved together.
Lucky moved inside Elizabeth his strokes long and deep, spurred on by Elizabeth screaming his name over and over. He nearly came apart as their movements grew harder and faster moving an eternity together in their own unique rhythm.
Their mouths devour each other, their hearts pounding as they reached their bliss. Elizabeth climaxed first, her body clenching and unclenching around Lucky. She shuddered with pleasure beneath Lucky when she felt him explode inside of her at last.
Lucky screamed Elizabeth's name in a thunderous roar as he drove into her one final time before they collapsed together in each other's arms.
Elizabeth held Lucky close, as their breathing slowed and returned to normal. She kept her legs wrapped tightly around him, enjoying the feel of his weight bearing down on her.
Lucky went to move, but Elizabeth held him tighter to her. ''I am too heavy Elizabeth,'' whispered Lucky. ''I need you to stay inside me for a while longer,'' answered Elizabeth, tightening her body around Lucky. She smiled happily when she felt him harden inside her again.
''You are going to be the death of me Elizabeth,'' said Lucky his mouth crashing down to meet hers. He could here the laughter in the back of her throat, which only served to intensify his passion.
