Tegan glared at Turlough, almost growling. "I've seen the way you look at the Doctor, and I don't like it."
"Yeah? What are you going to do about it?" It was a juvenile taunt aimed to provoke the human in her. Predictably, Tegan rose to the bait.
"I'll tell him you're sabotaging the TARDIS."
Turlough snorted. "You'll lie, you mean."
"He's too good for you!" Tegan yelled.
"And you think you're good enough for him?" Turlough retorted.
Tegan turned an odd shade of red and lunged toward him.
A quiet voice interjected. "What's going on?"
Tegan froze halfway to Turlough, who whirled to see the Doctor leaning against a roundel.
"We were just - " Turlough began.
"We always argue - " Tegan tried.
"I know what it was about and I'm tired of the fighting," the Doctor said calmly. "I have a solution, too. Surely there's enough of me to go around."
Turlough gaped. He wasn't looking at Tegan but he was certain her mouth had dropped too.
The Doctor smiled. "That's better. Come along. But if you start bickering again, I'll gag you both."
Oddly, Turlough didn't mind this threat at all and Tegan didn't seem to either.
