Happy Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July

DUNDALK, TOWSON, AND CATONSVILLE, MD - Every year, on July 4th, Baltimore's Marching Ravens participate in three Fourth of July parades. The first parade, in Dundalk, is the longest, but the parade route goes through residential areas with shade. The second parade, in Towson, is the shortest and is in the middle of the city. The third parade, in Catonsville, always feels like the worst one. It is in a business district with a wide street, so there is no shade, and it's in the late afternoon, when the heat's at it's worst. It is a long day, but Wendy enjoys it.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD - Another annual tradition for the Marching Ravens is the parade in Havre de Grace for their Fourth of July celebration. Wendy enjoys this parade since it's close to home. After this particular parade, Wendy enjoyed some time with Wanda, who was visiting from Germany for a few weeks. Wendy was glad for the opportunity for Wanda to see her perform with the band. See what they did after the parade on page F5.
