Students in the journalism classes write most of the articles that appear in the newspaper. Reporters are required to take the journalism class before doing stories in which interviewing and reporting are required. This requirement can be waived if a student has worked on the Courier staff for a year and can demonstrate understanding of basic journalistic principles such as objectivity, fairness, prevention of libel, accuracy in quoting sources and thoroughness in accountability for information.
