A Little Bit About This Girlie
So, you found my site...I don't know how, but if you're reading this, you got here somehow. And, if you're reading this, you're curious about the girlie behind the deal. I'll let you in on some stuff about me~
- First, I'm 22 years old. I have to say, the whole "being legal" thing helps a LOT in a college-town, bar-culture. But, the whole bar scene gets kinda stale pretty quickly.
My Birthday is April 7th, making me a girl with RAM POWER! (I'm an Aries) - I used to have blonde shoulder length curls and blue eyes. But, getting older makes you realize that maybe you weren't *meant* to be blonde...so you change your hair color back to its normal blondish-reddish-brown. You also come to your senses and realize that if you don't have naturally straight hair, you probably look ridiculous with straight hair...and go back to letting the natural curl do what it will.
- This is what I looked like.
- One of my nicknames is TooTall...NOT SO MUCH. I'm 5'6". It's nice down here.
- I'm into body art and modification...
- I'm currently kickin' it with the parents until I figure out what I'm doing with my life - i.e., law school (when & where), moving out (when & where).
- Which brings me to the fact that I graduated from UW-Madison. I got out in four years, and I have my degree to prove it. I have my BA in Political Science. I used to be kind of apologetic about that until I realized that Madison has one of the nation's BEST poli sci programs. Plus, I shouldn't have to apologize for anything. ;) So, I'll be using this degree to get into law school. And then I'll be using that JD to make some money. And THEN I'll be using that money to get into the political scene. I'm going to be your President someday.
I have some of the most *amazing* friends - check it out!
Let's see...I told you my age, stats, my current situation...what else? Oh yeah -
- I love checking out live music. Especially if it involves Reel Big Fish, The Dorothy Hearalds (Go KATY!!), or YoungBlood.
- I love music in general, from playing it, to listening to it, to everything about it. Check out my CD collection.
- Racing is a big part of my life. I don't actually, legally race. Yet. My uncle raced until some *using all my personal restraint to not just call him a profane name* put him in the wall pretty seriously this past June. (Sidenote: The racing community may possibly be the best second family anyone can have. My gratitude and heart go out to all of the people who helped Mike in one form or another during his recovery. Your thoughts, prayers, and kind deeds really do mean the world to us!) His wife Rachel used to run Powder Puffs at 151. My grandpa used to race stock cars at Columbus 151 Speedway, and midgets/modifieds/sprint cars at Angell Park in Sun Prairie. My grandma raced Powder Puffs back in the day... And guess what?! My boyfriend, Tim, pits for a modified (which is cool, because the racing continues in the family, but it's not, because it's dirt racing. As Mike says: Dirt's for growin' potatoes! ;) Just had to get my little dig in there...), and he's mentioned buying a car so he can race himself. If that's the case, I'm super excited, but already nervous. What can I do, though? Racing - it's in the blood, and I will always love it, no matter what happens. Yeah. :)
- Football?! What's a football?! Well, football the actual game is one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend! I used to cheer for the Columbus Cardinals Varsity, but then I had to go and graduate. Damn. :) Then, I did the same for the Badgers (as far as I can remember anyway...haha!) The Badgers have and will always be my team. Amen. But, since I don't have my student tickets anymore, I have to take the occasional game at C-Rand, and catch the rest on TV. Finally, is there a better way to wind up a weekend than to chill and watch the Green Bay Packers (yes, I'm a CheeseHead)? I live for football season (I also live for basketball season, racing season, and baseball playoffs...:).
- Speaking of...I also have a few out-of-state teams that I just love. I'm going to let you in on one - the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish. I can't even remember when I started liking them. I think it's a family thing - from my Great Great, nearly-106-year-old Aunt to my Grandma (the racing one) to my mom, and now to me. Yeah - the women in our family are generally way more into sports than the men.
- Besides football, I like hockey, wrestling, and college basketball. (Is there a better time of year than March & filling out about 34 brackets? If there is, let me know!) What's a girl to do?
- My weekends are generally spent around the house, chillin', and putting in some QT with my Boy. I used to be this HUGE party-girl in college, but now I'm pretty content to kick it around the house and just mellow. When the weather is nice, though, I'm all about washing/waxing/topping off my car. Brightening the white walls, shining the tires...you name it. I recently learned how to change my own oil. GOD I LOVE IT! haha If you need your oil changed, let me know - I can take care of that for you! I love my car, and I just love putting time into her when I see how good she looks when I'm done. I think the one thing I love almost as much as my friends, family, CD collection, and life itself is my car. Her name is Cecilia (a.k.a. The Smurf, Big Blue, The Beast, The Buick...), and she's all mine. My very own Grandma car! But, I love that blue 1987 Park Avenue with a white vinyl roof, thin whitewalls and wire rims. She's a beauty! *heehee* I just really love taking care of her, even if she isn't my "dream car" (or truck, for that matter).
- And, now you get to read about that. I should probably make a separate page for all the vehicles I want. I think I'll do that here.
- I don't watch that much TV, because I just don't have time. But, I'm big into That 70's Show (I'm really starting to like the name Topher). I *LOVE* The Simpsons. The show is great, the humor is always good, and I think it's become kind of a bonding thing between me & my dad, so that's cool.
- Stats, school, sports, cars...Ah - personality! You people probably don't know what I'm like. That might be a good thing. :) For real, though, I think I'm driven, strong willed, fun, laid-back, intelligent, honest, open minded, musical, random, goal-oriented, playful, charismatic, optimistic, outspoken, very opinionated, vocal...those are the front runners. I can also be "princess-y", stubborn, impatient, flighty, gullable, naive, too trusting, and pushy. I guess you win some, you lose some.
Well, that's all I can think of for now...
I'll be adding more. Trust me. I like telling people about me. :)
