ê Fantasy to Reality. By Morgan Akasha

"Okay so I've found out about magick around two years ago. I thought it
was exciting and new and the first thing I did was tell my closest friends. Big
mistake. People are different and so are their beliefs but even my friends
couldn't believe what I was talking about was true. Then I met this girl who
thought she was a witch. She had deluded herself into a television series. So I
was stuck between friends who couldn't believe me and a friend who was so
confused about what to believe she adapted her beliefs from television. See my
point, my life wasn't going too well. Then I kept learning, my mind kept
openning up, I started to become what they call, crazy. This is because I
believed anything is possible. Alot of people say this but alot of them actually
believe in it. I did and I still do. I'm still confused, and I'm still learning
and my friends have started to uderstand what I study. I guess what I'm trying
to say is Anything is possible, as long as you believe."

I think most young pagans can relate to the position you are in. Those early years of spiritual study can be confusing and you will run into many other young pagans who are still a little mislead about the path they wish to follow. Unfortunatly there isnt much we can do, what can I say, "its a teen thing". In the end, if they continue study they will learn more about who they are and where they are going. The information is there, but for those starting on the path, or those who just want to find out where that path is going, accessing the correct info can be a hard task, and investing in books can end up expensive. The learning process is a long one, there is no short route, even going and doing a course will not make everything snap into place. Paganism covers a wide range of areas, its kinda like a pick-n-mix. So of course you are not going to see eye-to-eye with everyone. Some people like mars bars, others like bounty's and then u get the malteaser fans (hahaha!). Sometimes it is best to just leave it as it is, even if u do run into those few who like the turkish delights *Cringe/shudder*. Stay positive, if you remain positive in your thoughts and positive in your actions, all will be well. Try not to concern yourself with what others think and do. You are your number one priority, you do not have to justify your beliefs and actions to others. If it remains a problem, avoid the subject with friends, its not worth the stress. And if they bring it up, and it just seems like you are running into a brick wall on the subject with them, just divert the conversation. Out of sight/ear, out of mind. Not everyone is open minded, this we all know! As long as you trust and believe in what you do, nothing else should matter. You are right, if you want something bad enough and you have strong enough will, it will happen. (well, within reason) Just remember, if things are getting a bit too tough, or you are stressing or you are feeling a bit overwhelmed with the pagan info, it is sometimes best to take a step back, time out for a while. There is plenty of time to learn, and everyone needs a little time for everything to sink in. - Morgan
