Herbs - A Pocket
Companion, Australian Book Centre
Reviews Morgan Akasha
You know what
I love the most in books? Apart from half decent content?
It's Pictures, YES PICTURES! Nice glossy photos to help me
remember all of the important stuff. This is the great thing
about this book, all of its pages are glossy, full of colour
and - it's a hard cover book! It gives u a bit of an intro
on the history of herbs, talks about planning a herb garden,
different things you need to know about growing herbs, using
the herbs, and then the A to Z of common herbs. This A to
Z gives u a short paragraph on each, their features, colour,
height, growing tips, uses and a dirty great big colour photo
to sink your teeth into. Certainly a good buy, and its also
a cheap one.
Not a really in-depth
book, but certainly great for anyone considering starting
up a herb garden (to the beginner this is usually something
like parsley, basil and chives!). Go for it, herb's rock!
Just think about their endless uses, culinary, healing, cosmetics,
fragrances, decorations and the large herbal collection you
will need if u wish to do spells. I rate this a-bit-larger-than-pocket-size-companion
3.5/5.
