Title: Grasshopper
Process: Canon Optura40 (2MP), 3 desklamps
More:
After hearing this grasshopper bussing for a day somewhere in my house, I finally found and caught it. I was impressed by its nice colour and structure. Its abdomen seems very strange to me. It is remarkable how many details it has for its size.
This grasshopper was more difficult to shoot than other insects I have photographed because it was constantly moving.

Title: Traslucent Spider
Process: Canon Optura40 (2MP), 3 lights
More: Shot at night. I went to the garden with 3 lights, extension cords, and tripod. I had to hold 2 of the lights. I took multiple exposures and this is a combination of 2 different lighting angles. I enjoy the translucent properties of the spider and how it glows. It is sitting on a rosebud.

Title: Green Eyed Wasp
Process: Canon Optura200MC (1.33MP), 2 lights
More: The summer before I started film school at IADT I caught this wasp-like bug flying around the kitchen.
I really liked its eyes and its behaviour. I remember it gave me the impression of being intelligent. It was co-operative at first, even with the lights, but eventually protested. Prior to release it was co-operative again. I remember wondering if it could bite me?
