The Wilcox Care-Group was founded March 25th, 2003. We were once part of a larger group known as the Castro care-group and then "multiplied" into two smaller groups to serve the growing number of guest and visitors. We attend Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, MD. and are part of the Singles Ministry led by Eric Simmons. We meet 3 to 4 times per month in someone’s home for the purpose of developing friendships, growing in godly character, and applying Scripture to our daily lives.

Each member has been saved by grace alone, through faith alone, because of Christ alone, all for the glory of God. We have turned from sin in repentance and have looked to Christ and His substitutionary death receiving the gift of eternal life. Therefore we are declared righteous by God as a free gift. This righteousness from Christ has been imputed to us. Because of this we are justified and fully accepted by God. Through Christ’s atonement for sin we have been reconciled to God as Father and have become children of God. We have been forgiven the debt of our sin and via the miracle of regeneration liberated from the law of sin and death into the freedom of God’s Spirit.

In Care group we ask each other about our challenges and seek to find, through prayer and Bible study, how God is working in us and through us as we face the tests of life. This not only involves prayer, counsel and encouragement, but also helping each other with practical needs.
