North America

Our first stop on the Safari is the North American continent which is full of unique plants and animals, and beautiful landsacpes. We will be passing through the United States, Canada, and Greenland from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific, and from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Ocean. There are still vast areas of untouched wilderness where only few humans dare to venture.

Many of the animals inhabiting our continent have become American icons and even some, like the Bald Eagle, even became the symbol of freedom. You can see the beautiful bird on our currency and on the Presidential Seal. Sadly, some of our animals such as the Grizzly, the Buffalo (American Bison), and the Gray Wolf have almost became extinct from this land.

Asia and Indonasia

Half way across the world we find Asia. Home to many endangered species, this continent's forests and wildlife ecosystem is quickly shrinking and disappearing. Many of Asia's creatures are almost extinct or are reduced to survive on tiny strips of land set aside by local governments who can't control their rapid human population growth.

Some of these endangered animals include the Tiger, Panda, Orangutan, Asian Elephant, Asian Rhino, and many many more are slowly dissapearing from the world.

Europe

Europe was hard for me, I had trouble finding indigenous animals that yet haven't been wiped out from existence. Due to the overpopulation of humans and expansion of their settlements, many native species are either extinct or are so rare that they are hardly seen in the wild. But there are few European species that survive and thrive among the humans in the remaining pieces of native forests and mountains.

Here are some of the indigenous (native) European animal species. If you look closely, you see that manu native European species resemble native North American species.

Africa and Madagascar

Africa, so I've heard, is the birthplace of us all -- man and animal alike. It is the land that nurtured the humble beginnings of man and his quest to become the dominant animal on Earth. It is also the place where wild life has a strong foot-hold upon the land and in some places, on this vast continent, man is the weakest species.

Africa is full of wonderful animals and I had a hard time choosing which animal to display on this Safari. Fun fact; Do you know that the Hippopotamus is also known as the Nile Horse?

South and Central America

South America and Central America are among the greatest gathering of animal and plant species in the world. Either tall mountains or rain forests cover most of the land and many parts are unreachable by man. Only those who can travel through water or through the air can reach these forests that one can say 'time forgot'. Unfortunately, many of these rainforests are disappearing at an alarming rate along with its countless species most of which we know absolutely nothing about. If we do not take care of the rainforests not only we will harm the ecosystem but also we will harm ourselves.

South American animals come in many colors, shapes, and sizes. Many of our pets such as the Guinea Pigs, the Parrots, and tropical freshwater fish, likke the Neon Tetras, come from the Americas.

Australia and New Zealand

The largest numbers of strange animals are only found either in Australia, Tasmania (Australia's state), or New Zealand. In these harsh environments Mother Nature went all out in her creativity and adaptations that still amaze everyone who visits these lands. Even Australia's vegetation caters to species that would perish outside its own unique environment. I also added landscapes and animals from New Guinea, a large island north of Australia's Cape York. Many of the species found in New Guinea are also found in Cape York, therefore i am adding New Guinea under Australia and New Zealand. Did you know that most of Australian native animals are marsupials and one mammal even layes eggs?

The "Down under" animals are weird, strange, mysterious, but yet cute and beautiful. I hope you share these similar feelings with me. It is a world full of wonder.

Arctic and Antarctic

Even in the coldest regions of the world we can find signs of life. These regions are cold and icy, and are called the Arctic and the Antarctic. These desolate places of wind, snow, and ice are home to special creatures that have embraced the barren lands and found a small niche in the web of life to adapt and flourish in this part of the world.

This land is governed by one simple rule: you must adapt to you surroundings or you will perrish. Even here you must keep an eye out for danger.

I hope you have enjoyed our little Safari across the World. Many creatures share our world and it would be a shame if any of these precious wonders would disappear forever. We can learn many things from the plants and animals that are here with us, lets hope we don't wipe them out before they can teach us something important about our own survival. Help us in protecting the environment and the world around us, because no matter howmuch you agree or dissagree; We are a unique part of Mother Nature as Mother Nature is a unique part of us all.
