The Cowboy Star (1936) - A popular western film star tries to leave Hollywood for a simpler life.

 

Rio Grande (1939) - Land-grab tale, with Anne Doran, Pat Brady, and musical guests The Sons of the Pioneers.

 

The Durango Kid (1940) - First of a long series of films with the mysterious "outlaw with a social conscience".

 

The Medico of Painted Springs (1941) - First of a series of three Medico "frontier doctor" films.

 

Pardon My Gun (1942) - with Lloyd Bridges, Noah Beery, and Alma Carroll.

 

Cowboy in the Clouds (1943) - Starrett as cowboy and Civil Air Patrol member, defending the homeland.

 

Saddle Leather Law (1944) - with sidekick Dub Taylor, and Vi Athens as the nefarious villainess.

 

Return of the Durango Kid (1945) - Second in the Durango Kid series, with Jean Stevens and John Calvert.

 

The Desert Horseman (1946) - The origin of the enigmatic Durango Kid is finally revealed.

 

Phantom Valley (1948) - with Virginia Hunter.

 

Laramie (1949) - with Jay Silverheels and Bob Wilke.

 

Texas Dynamo (1950) - Starrett plays 3 roles: The Durango Kid, his alter ego, and also one of the villains.
