The Film & Video Institute(IAC) -
the organisation for amateur film-makers with groups throughout the country and also catering for the lone filmmaker. IAC Membership provides a magazine with articles relevant to all aspects of amateur  video, there is practical help on hand including legalities and information on copyright.  Membership also allows you access to permits to clear copyright on commercial UK music. The organisation also runs several levels of competitions and festivals.  Membership of the IAC or an affiliated group also allows you to access IAC’s two users’ groups providing practical help with filmmaking and editing (including computer editing).  Website: http://www.theiac.org.uk

Doncaster Movie Makers - a very friendly club, meeting weekly, offering several training evenings per year and at present developing a Buddy System where newcomers to the hobby can be buddied with a more experienced Member for practical one-to-one help.  The Club is also involved in a wide range of competitions.  Website: www.moviemaker.fsnet.co.uk.
