Accessible from Mansfield Crescent, Armthorpe

Only a smallish site, but is mostly used by local residents so flowers are not 'picked out' and it remains pretty natural with a wider variety of plant and animal life than many areas of similar size.  Well looked after and maintained by Doncaster MBC alongside voluntary 'Friends Of Shaw Wood'.  The wood is particularly lovely in April to May when beds of wood celandine, wood anemone and bluebells are well worth videoing.  However, a visit any time of the year is worthwhile as there is always something interesting for the wildlife videographer.
