Hello
Here is a brief description of some meals you can find at the
Wildside.
Breakfast, is traditional Belizean breakfast platter, with
beans, eggs, and chia, a local leafy green, with a whole wheat tortilla.
All that stuff is in the breakfast burrito too with a salsa fresca,
granola and yogurt, fruit salad, and a lot of fresh baked breads
especially Banana.
Lunch is also a set menu with specials sometimes like a hummus
burrito, or falafel burrito, but the menu has the wildside pizza, like a
Mex-pizza, a baked marinated tofu sandwich, a toasted veggie sandwich,
traditional rice and beans with a whole bunch of sautéed veggies, and a
curry chia burrito with a lot of garlic.
Dinner is the cool part, the menu is ever changing with a lot
of local and traditional Caribbean dishes, like coconut stews, and other
Ital food. (traditional natural food cooked as a stew in a big pot)
You can't really get that type of food anywhere else around. We
also do pastas pizzas, burritos, Asian food, Mexican food, and American Creole
food. Much variety.
Then don't forget the tea menu, with all the herb teas found
locally in the jungle of Belize. We hand pick most of them and
incorporated this idea into the cafe because drinking herbs is such a
huge part of every day life for the average Belizean, but the tourists
barely come into contact with it. Now they can understand too.
I hope you enjoy your dining experience,
Jessica, the Wildside
