A little 'bout love
As always kids have a way with words!
A group of professional people posed this question to a
group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were
broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.
See what you think:
1. "When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend
over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for
her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."

2. "When someone loves you, the way they say your name is

3. "Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on
shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other." - Karl - age

of your french fries without making them give you any of theirs." -

5. "Love is when someone hurts you. And you get so mad but
you don't yell at them because you know it would hurt their feelings."

takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."

10. "If you want to learn to love better, you should start

"Each evening bird lover Tom stood in his backyard, hooting
like an owl- and one night, an owl called back to him. For a year, the
man and his feathered friend hooted back and forth. He even kept a log
of the conversation." Just as he thought he was on the verge of a
breakthrough in interspecies communication, his wife had a
chat with her next door neighbor."My husband spends his nights calling out to owls," she
said.
"That's odd," the neighbor replied. "So does my husband."They paused then started to laugh.
