General Rules

1. Most important rule:Panthers of Wildwoods will follow the spirit of the Gor books in their role-play. If you do not feel you can do this, then Wildwoods is not the band for you. We love the books, and want to take on the role as it’s intended in the books. So it is imperative that you read the books, as many as possible to get a feel for Gor, but especially Hunters of Gor, and Captive of Gor.

2. Travelling: Panther girls are targets, and draw attention where ever they go. Subsequently, we are safest in the forest, in a group, or in the various exchange points or trading posts that allow panther girls to trade. A list of potential rooms we can visit and trade with is here. Avoid places panther girls would logically not go- it draws unwanted attention to us and makes us all look bad. Slaves would not travel without their owners, and camp slaves would not travel without a panther girl of Wildwoods.

3. Dedication to the camp:Members are expected to find some way to use their talents to contribute to the well-being of their home. Hunting/gathering food is a constant need. Scouting our territory for dangers is also necessary. Getting pelts/skins ready for trade or crafting items we need is an ongoing task as well. Furring is fun, but a panther or slave who does nothing else will find her/him self in a collar and sold. Our survival depends on being able to support each other and work together. Check the message board often to keep up with what we need, and pitch in where ever and when ever you can.

(Also, keep in mind that your actions reflect on the entire camp. Panther girls have a lot to prove to Gor in general, and we need to prove that a strong, supportive lair can survive on its own merits. You must contribute to the lair, whether by hunting, gathering food, trading, or slaving. We must have food and supplies to survive.)

4. Hunts:Three post minimum for a kill, and remember that sometimes the beast may get away, or injure you in the process. Traps can be used and are encouraged- as long as they have been set beforehand, and the script posted on our board. Post successful hunts on our Hunting Board.

5. Captures:Three post minimum to capture a person. Room combat rules apply, and disputes will be judged by the leader of the room. No permanent damage or death to a captive unless they blatantly deserve it. If they are clearly a gamer, or showing intent to disrupt the room, place them on ignore and forget about them, they’re not worth our time or trouble. A captive's fate will usually be decided by the one who captured them, and should be decided within a two week period. Post a note about a captive on our Captive Board, to let us know about our new “guest”.

A captive’s fate may include: ransom (of a realistic and believable nature if they have an actual homestone), release, degradation stripe shaved if male, spear dance if male, enslavement and collared to our camp, or enslavement and sold off to another home of our choosing.

6. Killing another char If possible, this should be a last resort. If they are clueless try to teach them or direct them politely to a room or realm that would better suit their needs. If they are being unrealistic in their r/p and ignoring our rules, script it and have the room leader judge it. If someone is being a deliberately disruptive arse, inform him/her you’re done with them for now, and place them on Ignore, and call a Mod if need be-but Ignore should work nicely. Do not use Ignore as an escape net to get out of r/p you’ve blundered into and don’t like now. There are no super panthers, and captures are to be honored if they are valid. Camp slaves should not be killed without consultation with the band leader, although a personally owned slave is subject to their owner’s whims completely.

7. Role Play Ideas:Members are encouraged to brainstorm and contribute ideas on how to create new and exciting r/p scenarios. If you’d like to involve outsiders, or an outside home, ask our leader and she will get in contact with the leader of that home to try to set something up. If you have an idea for a story arc, or r/p incident, run it by the leader. Please have the courtesy to let someone know before springing serious, wide-ranging r/p on the lair. We want to encourage r/p with other rooms. Keep that in mind when dealing with outsiders.

8. Here come da judge: The Wildwoods Leader has final say in any disputes that happen inside the camp and territory, and will attempt to resolve the matter as fairly as possible. If you don't trust this, don't enter the room.
