Wheel Day

   Sand Springs to Claremore
— Again, I spent the morning waiting for bicycle shops to open. If you ride a recumbent and need a wheel, the best place on earth is The Wheel Bicycle Shop and Emporium and, as luck would have it, it was only a short ride down the Katy Trail in Tulsa.
Larry Joe Dilldine truly enjoys operating his recumbent enterprise and helping his customers—and this customer was in serious need. I went to lunch, the post office to mail home excess stuff, and the library to check e-mails (all within blocks of this downtown recumbent shop).
On my return, Recumbent Red was rebuilt—better than new. Larry not only replaced the wheels, he installed liners in the tires, adjusted everything and promised me I would make it home with no more trouble. And thanks to Larry Joe Dilldine, I did--not even a single flat.
