CASE:

Mary works at Playthings R Us, a large chain of toy store franchises. Mary worked at the Fraser City franchise for 8 years. Occasionally, in the absence of the owner, she had been placed in the position of acting manager.

In March, the annual Easter display was being assembled. The store owner, Susan, asked Mary to place a row of 20 stuffed-toy Easter bunnies in the display window.

Mary refused. She pointed out that it was against her religion to participate in or in any way have anything to do with the celebrations, ceremonies or artifacts of other religions. NOW WHAT?
