Many people think they know Christ.
However, it is possible that they only know of Him or about Him. He has provided for you Salvation if only you BELIEVE and get to know Him personally.

Christ gave each of us a mission to go forth unto all the world and spread the gospel. We hope here, in our humble site that is dedicated to Jesus, to help provide basic definitions and scripture to help with your study of the Bible.

These definitions are from the Oxford Dictionary-D K Publishing,Inc-US and Great Britain-1998

Salvation (also called being saved or the act of being saved--from eternal damnation).

1. The act of saving or being saved.

2. Deliverance from sin and its consequences and admission to heaven.

3. A religious conversion.

4. A person or thing that saves(was the salvation of=[Jesus]).

JOHN 3:16

Represents a favorite scripture of many. Two especially come to mind.
One of course, is God.

"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life."

The other is the heart touching testimony
of Evangelist Brenda Demarco.

"When I was a child growing up, I was always told being saved meant going to the altar and accepting the Lord Jesus in my heart. All I had to do was BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that He rose from the dead. Well, I Believed all this. I BELIEVED in Jesus. When I was high (on drugs), drinking, stealing, fighting, etc. I BELIEVED! I was told that once you are saved you will always be saved"--like the old cliche' that some denominations believe "Once Saved, Always Saved." That is not according to scripture. If it is, then, why can God, as the "Good Book" states, erase your name from the Book of Life?

If that is all there is to it, then, why did I continue to live the way I always lived. Every time I tried to change my evil ways, I got even worse. There was something missing.

But what?? I was still living in darkness and doing evil things. Every once and awhile I would read my Bible or a track that someone left in a restaurant bathroom. The basic message of all the tracks were the same--"Whomever BELIEVES in Him!"

I raised my children to BELIEVE. One day my daughter asked me, "What does saved mean?" I told her it meant to be born again. She asked, "What does being born again mean?" I prayed about it and asked questions of whomever I could find. After beseeching the Lord in earnest, the Holy Spirit revealed the following to me from Genesis 1:1-31
Once upon a time God had a need. Maybe he was lonesome. He had created Heavenly beings called angels. He created the Heaven and the Earth, the light, the darkness, the sky, the sea, the plants, fruits, the sun, the moon, the stars, the birds, the fish, and all animals. He wanted children. Children created in His own image. He created Adam and Eve. They were living spirits in living bodies--with their Father's DNA. They could see the visible realm---the real, natural things around them. They could also see into the supernatural realm---see in the spiritual realm. They could see God as he walked with them in the garden in the cool of the day. Genesis 3:8

GOD WAS THEIR PARENTS...THE FATHER AND THE MOTHER.
(He is a single parent fulfilling both roles.) He understands a lot! Now satan, at one time, was God's special angel. He rebelled against God and was kicked out of heaven. Then he decided he was going to really get back at God. We all know God could have stopped him totally. He gave us all our own free will. It is up to us to use our will to do things wisely.

Then satan entered the serpent and started to befriend Eve. He convinced her that God (her parent) did not want her to be like Him and know everything He knew. He falsely explained to her that the fruit would only make her wise and know everything He knew. He said the fruit would only make her wise like God. Genesis 3, 1-7

So she ate the fruit and and gave Adam some of it. Genesis 2:17 states the Lord had told them if they ate the fruit they would surely die. We all know Adam lived to be 930 years old. He was 130 years old when his Seth was born says Genesis 5, 1-5

That was after he rebelled against God and was kicked out of the garden. He did not die in the flesh...as he thought he would. He died a much worse death. He died in the spirit. They could no longer see in the visible (natural) and invisible (supernatural) realms. They could no longer see God. Man had fallen!! His spirit was dead! He had died in the spiritual realm. He was only living in the flesh.

So from Mary's exotic seed there began to form a soul and body unscarred by the history of fallen man. As everyone knows Mary was a virgin. When Jesus was born, unlike us, his spirit was living. He had no sin. That is why he was never sick. When we were born our spirits were dead. As babies we live in a grace period. If we die as a baby we go to be with the Lord. John 3:3

Jesus answered: "unless a man be born again of the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical, or natural is natural] and what is born of the spirit is spirit." I Peter 2:24

Jesus came to the earth to die on the cross for us. He took the sins of the world on himself. All the sickness and disease was nailed to the cross with Him. John 3:16 Remember, it says,"For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten [unique]son. So that whoever believes in [trust in, clings to, relies on] Him shall not perish [come to destruction, be lost] but have eternal [everlasting] life.

I think the key word here is "BELIEVE." Let us look in the dictionary.

Believeth / Believe is to regard as true, trust in, rely on, have faith in.

It does not just mean to know He died on the cross and rose from the dead. We have to seek Him. Otherwise, how will we know in whom we are "BELIEVING" in? How can we trust, rely, and have faith in someone we don't know?

When a child is first born, he cannot see God, he cannot walk, not talk. He cannot determine what he is hearing, he cannot aim his hands at what he wants to reach for. All he can do is cry out to his parents. He has to totally depend on his parent to feed him, love him, change him, etc. That means he believes in his parent. He trusts in, relies on, has faith in, and most definitely seeks to know his parent. A good parent makes sure his child is taken care of. They look to us to do everything, they cannot do anything for themselves.

When we accept Jesus into our heart it does not matter if we are 9 or 99 years old. Our spirit comes alive (born again). It's newborn. It cannot see, hear, walk, nor talk. We look to God (our parent) to do everything for us. Our spirit has to eat to live. Just like a newborn in the flesh it starts with small amounts. I Corinthians 3:2 and Hebrews 5:12,13 talks about spiritual food. In I Peter 2:2 it explains that like newborn babies you should thirst for pure spiritual milk. The only thing the spirit can eat is the Word of God. Just like the flesh if it is not fed it will die of starvaton. Matthew 7:21 explains further that to enter the kingdom of heaven one must do the will of the Father.

When I was a teenager, I thought there was no way I could do the will of God. I still cannot do it--but He can do it through me. He can love through me and forgive through me. All we have to do is believe and let Him do it. How can I change and be what God wants me to be? I can't!! But He can change me. I have tried so many times myself and failed. God knows and understands that we cannot change ourselves. We need to come to Him just the way we are and let Him do the changing. The more we feed our spirits, the more our spirits will grow. The more we eat, the more we grow. Then the more God can change us. Just like babies in the flesh, our born-again spirits live in a grace period with God while He is changing us.

If you could go back to the day of Adam and Eve, what would you change? Would you have taken the fruit? We still take the fruit. We take it from satan and our Father cries. We all rebel against our parent. God does not want a rebellious spirit in Heaven. He kicked him out once, why would He let him back in?
