Dear Father, Thank You for the freedom I enjoy. Help me to remember that this liberty is not given so that I may indulge myself, but so I may be free to do Your will and serve others.

Forgive me for the times I have spoken from selfishness, not thinking how my words might hurt another. Help me to submit to You, that I may have the wisdom to know when to speak and the love to speak in kindness. Let my words be a reflection of You to my family, friends, and neighbors.

Father, I thank You for the blessings of Your resurrection that demonstrate the unseen power of Your love. Help me to walk this day by faith, enlightened by Your vision, not my own.

Thank You for accepting and loving me even when I make mistakes. Help me to be a builder of friendships as I extend that kind of gracious love to others in Your Name.

My Father who led the wise men of old, please guide and direct my path each day as I seek to hear and follow Your voice. Father, give me Your heart of compassion to help those who are separated from their loved ones. And when I am lonely, help me to remember Your promise to be both my Father and my Love.

Father, I thank You for my children. Help me to remember that You love them more then I do, and that You desire to bless them beyond what I can hope or imagine. Help me to be faithful in prayer for them whether they are at home or away.

I thank you for the gift of Your son, Jesus Christ. Help me to experience the grace of giving from a willing heart to my family and to my community of that first Christmas in Bethlehem.

Help me to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Give me Your ears to hear the needs of others and Your words to mend their hurts. Father, help me to face the unknown path before me with joy, knowing that You go before me each step of the way.

I thank You for filling my days with the music of life and love. Please accept songs from my grateful heart as an offering of thanksgiving. Father, I know that You forgive me, but I also know that it is often hard for me to extend that same forgiveness to others. Free me from my feelings of anger and bitterness through the choice to forgive, so that I may experience a resurrection lifestyle all year long.

Father, thank You for Your promise to be with me in every situation and circumstance. When I am feeling afraid or lonely, please help me to know the comfort of Your hand, guiding and holding me fast. In Jesus’ Name I pray this prayer.

AMEN
