Bio
Will Cumberland started his writing adventure in 1987 and hasn't
stopped since. He grew up in the rural Piedmont of the Carolinas and
spent his childhood on a farm outside of Charlotte. With the
Appalachian mountains for his playground and the sea close by, Will
explored the diverse range of cultures unique to the Carolinas,
including music and story telling.
He fell in love with the art of story telling and lists storytellers
such as Jackie Torrence, David Holt, Ray Hicks and Doc. McConnell as his childhood
heroes. "Story telling is a tribal art form with it's roots going back
as far the dawn of man. Families used story telling to pass on lessons,
history and purely for fun at times. I've always wanted to be a
storyteller."
Writing never came easy for Will and the art presented different
challenges to him as he progressed. In 1983, his family found out that
Will had severe dyslexia and several other learning disorders. He was
informed he probably wouldn't graduate high school without assistance
and college may be out of the question. Will refused to let this stop
him and he continued writing.
Through the help of several dedicated teachers, Will graduated with
several honors and made it to college. Later, he graduated earning
a B.S. degree with a minor in Accounting and also served as editor of
the school's newspaper. He continued to write and has worked on his
Masters. Will has owned and published several small newspapers and is also employed as a freelance journalist.
Will Cumberland's writings and articles appear in publications
throughout the South. 'Shakuhachi', his first work of fiction based on the Japanese sun goddess Ama Terasu, was
published internationally.
Additional Background Information Early in 1999, Will's life began to change. Up until that point, he studied the martial arts and rarely gave a damn about conventional society. As a combat veteran, his veiw of the human species was bleak and harsh. Cumberland has seen dark side of the soul and nearly gave in to a life that would have perpetuated this negative outlook. For first time, since his childhood, Will realized that ALL are Children of God and worthy to be loved. Since that time, the Light has continued to grow within him. Folks that have bore witness to his personal struggle are often inspired. How a formally trained military mind and highly educated killer can become a Child of the Light is still a mystery to many and nothing short of a miracle. Love, it seems, is still the highest power in the Universe.
Will ended up traveling out West to stay with the Hopi Indians for a short period of time. The influence on his life was profound and to the Hopi Elders, like Chief Rex, Chief Dan Evehema and Robert Suqneyahveh, he is forever grateful. Cumberland has since brought the Hopi message back with him to the East where he uses his life as a living example of what the elders teach. Will has since fought the tide of strip mines, chip mills and began working to save the Appalachian mountain range from pollution and over-development. In 2002, Will met his greatest teacher, a natural point Love and Light who provided the final push for him to break free. Her simple lesson in Unconditional Love would set the pace for the rest of his life. This story is still unfolding.

 Will
And The New World Order:
Will is no stranger to the NWO or the
Illuminati. He grew up in a family that received it's first land grant in the 1700's from King George of England and he himself graduated from internationally known military college. At one time, Will was
under the tuteledge of a very famous Freemason and has been initiated into several orders, both magical and social. He was (and still is by their standards) a member of a Skull and Bones society that includes the likes of Ronald Reagan. Will has also
worked in various levels of the government, security industries and military. However, it must be stated Cumberland does not support globalism nor the current, emerging control state.
Music and Writing:
Music has had a strong impact on Will's writing career. He enjoys cultural and non-corporate music such as
Bluegrass, World, Newgrass and Jam. He presents music from a standpoint that can be appreciated by both the listener and the musician. Will is considered by many to be one of the more unique minds on the Western North Carolina music scene. His ability to understand musicians on a level that most journalists can not stems from Cumberland's own musical background. Although it's rare to find him playing in front of a crowd these days, Will's first public performance was at the age of eight. He plays piano, classical guitar, mandolin, alto saxaphone and tribal drums. In 1993, Will first heard about
the Grateful Dead and began to follow their music scene.
Regardless of their origins and associations, Will still has a good
deal of respect for this band's music.
Writing, covered earlier on this page, is Will's main tool when it
comes to relaying a message to the world.
World View:
Will believes that
the world is in a state of delusion currently. He does not
support a world government, the Roman Catholic Church in any form or worshipping men as gods. UFO mythology is
merely a ploy to deceive the population and to mask current developments in aerospace technology. His belief is that true evil exists in the hearts of men and that most problems in the world are caused by a severe lack of compassion for the human condition.
