Cookie Cliff

At the top of Knob Hill you get this great view down the lower valley. Elephant Rock on the left, Merced River in the middle with the 140 beside it, Cookie Cliff is the low lump of rock, and 'Above the Cookie' is the major right hand cliff, home to the well-known route Separate Reality (5.12a), and with the 120 tunneling through the top of it.
Lower Valley

A fairly average rainy day view of the Cookie Cliff from the 140. The Cookie itself is the big flake at bottom centre - the Right side of it is a nice ** 5.9. The finish of Butterfingers (** 5.11a) is marked at top centre - the two scuffed lines which join into are the famous Butterballs (*** 5.11c) on the left and the even more famous Wheat Thin (*** 5.10c) on the right. Came back to climb a few days later and the buggers had closed all the turn offs along here so they could put in new sewer pipes! :(
