I got a little sick of having the exhaust pointed directly to me so I decided to make a header. I wanted it to enhance the look of the dirt tracker while looking a little bit flashy.
Off to the metal pile I went. I found a piece of 2" stainless pipe with a bend in it already first. Then I found another piece of 2" pipe that had close to the right amount of bend. I only had to make two cuts and welds to get it to fit. I had bought a race header but decide for ease of assembly to just slip the pipe of the existing muffler. This also gives me some give in the muffler pipe so I dont stress it. Especially as I bolted the pipe to the wagon body so it would not flop around. I drilled the stock muffler out to 3/4 inch which is about the stock outlet anyway.
It has a really neat sound now. A little rough but still muffled. |
