Everyone! Cortney and I have decided to go on hiatus. We have our own domain at Stripes.nu now. We are renaming our distro to Stripes Distro with our new domain, and we're restocking in zines and crafts and don't plan to be back in business until mid-October. PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE still send in things for consideration, because we are looking for more stock. Any zines that have been accepted in the past few days aren't going to be added to Cat Scratches' catalog due to the recent hiatus decision and the move. Sorry for any inconvenience, and we won't be taking any orders until said month, and at the other website, Stripes.nu. Thank you all, and please send in your DIY for consideration <3.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone's summers have gone by great. Mine was. Full of nothing surprises. Yeah. So, here's some big news!!::
I almost decided to close down Cat Scratches. Or give it to Cortney. When I brough it up to her, she came up with the most obvious solution! We are going to run the distro together. In the next few days, I'm going to change the distro consideration and ordering addresses on the website. I am moving in about a week, so the address would have changed anyway. I'll let you all know about all of the new details as soon as Cortney and I figure it all out.
So, keep sending all of your crafts and zines to the address posted, as someone will still live there to give it to me. Thanks so much!!

Hey everyone. Sorry that my updates have been quite infrequent, but summer is a busy time. Anyway, check out the distro for a quick update!

And now that summer vacation is among us, if you send me any mail (distro considerations, secret admirers, distro orders), don't expect the usual quick response because I'm only going to be at this address for bits and peices of the summer. But still send stuff *grins*.
And, yes, below you will see that Jenny's magnificent, genius mind won my website a Golden Web Award for 2002-2003. Yippee.

For people who can't read, the question in my guest book asking: "How much did this site blow people who say fag?", was not a homosexual slur, it was actually pointing out my annoyance of people who say the word "fag" as an insult (hence, asking how much they blow, which to me is an insult). So, I'm terribly sorry about confusing anyone.

As you can see, this layout is freakin' kickass--but not thanks to me (dammit). The one and only, html goddess of the 21st century (it is the 21st, right?), Jenny...my Cousin Jenny *applaud while she walks out on stage*.
* For all of you who don't know what a zine is: A zine is a home-made, DIY, "publication" that you (redundant, but I'm getting the point across) make yourself. It can be just one page, or 7200. It can be pages folded in half, in quarters, in a made-up star shape thing, or just full pages. It can be a recipe zine, a political zine, a crafts zine, a poetry zine, a perzine (a zine that's personal, sometimes like a journal or something), a comic book, a funny zine, a feminist or riot grrrl(there IS a difference) zine, a religious zine, a music/music scene zine, a mixture of all and ANYTHING else zine. You can be yourself totally and you don't have to worry about what other people think of you because they don't even know you! I love zines, and I love making them, and if you're into making artsy things, you'll love them, too. Anyway, once you're done making your zine, you can hand them out to people, send them to distros (gimme gimme!), or make a website to advertise them. You can charge money or trade them for other zines or goodies. So, if you still have ANY questions, you can ask me.
