Our Family Today
Well, it's time to update this page. Sorry, I don't have a new family picture - guess I should put that on my list. This one is almost 2 years old now.
We
just got back from a couple days hiking in Hocking Hills in southern
Ohio. We spent the night at Ravenwood Castle, a medieval village and
castle, which Sarah loved. We all loved the hiking - hopefully next
year we'll have time to go for more than two days.
Nathan and Sarah are really keeping us busy these days. Nathan (8) has gotten totally OBSESSED with sports, but especially football. He's either running around the basement with a football or a basketball, or watching it on TV, or playing Madden NFL on the computer. Of course, he's a Steelers fan, and he's always telling us some football trivia about some player from the past. He'll be starting a flag football league in August and he can't wait to get started.
Sarah (almost 6) is our spirited child. Sometimes she's a princess, other times rough and tumble. They took swimming lessons this summer and she really took to it - she'd live in the water if we'd let her. Lately she's been asserting her independence by cutting her own hair, trying to do laundry, and just simply doing things her own way. She can be so precious, but other times....
Both kids just finished ball for the summer. As expected, Nathan is a serious player (first baseman, which he loved) and Sarah would rather pose for the camera.
We thank God every day for the blessings He has given us.
