NEWS NOVEMBER 2004
It has been a while since the site was last updated and we would like to apologise for this. It is the fate of organisations run by volunteers that it is not always possible to do all we intend or would like.
The last meeting of the Association on Thursday 25th November in the Lettsom TA Hall, Vestry Road, was an OPEN MEETING. Cllr. Vicky Naish one of our Ward Councillors, was present as was Nick McLaughlin, our Neighbourhood Housing Officer and PC Paul Back, our Local Beat Officer.
Presentations were given by:
- Gemma Gallagher - environmental enforcement officer with Southwark Council on the changes to the law on dog fouling. From next year failing to clear up after your dog will be punishable with a £50 fine. Gemma also gave out free poop scoop bags. Read the complete guide to Dog Fouling and the Law which we distributed with our February 2001 Newsletter
- Shannon Gillard of Southwark Environmental Improvement Team - who is managing the improvements to Grace's Mews under the Cleaner Greener Camberwell Campaign.
- Camberwell Community Wardens who can be contacted on 0207 232 6322
- Day Trip to France on Saturday 4th December 2004. There are still places available, so if you would like to book your seat please contact Mandy Henry, 24b Wilson Road.
The next committee meeting will be at 7pm on Thursday 27th January 2005 in the Lettsom TA Hall, Vestry Road.
