Monthly Meetings
The Wilson's Residents Association holds monthly meetings on the second thursday of each month, from 7pm at 15, Fairwall House, Glebe Estate, SE5.
LUCAS GARDENS
Have you got any ideas about how Lucas Gardens can be improved? The Association was successful with our bid to the Cleaner, Greener Safer Fund last year and £10,000 has been awarded to improve the children's play area. Now we would like to submit another bid for the rest of the gardens. What would you like to see? Different plants, more trees, better signage, more seating...? The list could be endless. We need to hear your opinions. Please come along to the meeting and have your say
SPRING PLANTING DAY AND QUIZ NIGHT
We are planning a spring planting day to be held on
SATURDAY MARCH 28th 2008
in St Giles Churchyard. Come along and create your own beautiful window box at no cost. Then display them on your window sill to brighten up the whole area. This event will begin at 12 noon and finish at 3pm. Tea, coffee and cold drinks will be available. There will also be a Pets Corner, for children to visit and learn about different domestic aniamals.
We will also be selling tickets for a quiz night to be held that evening in the crypt of St Giles Church. Entrance to the evening costs £1 per person and the winning team will take home all the takings.
Hot and cold food and soft drinks will be available for all who attend and there is a bar in the crypt for those potential eggheads who may want something stronger.
As a warm up for the quiz night, answer the following questions correctly, bring your answers along on the night and get in free to the quiz.
- What did every Nazi SS Officer have tattooed under their armpit?
- How old is Bart Simpson?
- Casa Nostra is another name for which organisation?
- What is the most dialled telephone number in the UK?
- Who is the patron saint of love?
