Everyone is invited to our meetings, please come along and meet Committee Members, residents like yourselves, Brunswick Ward Councillors, your local Home Beat Police Officer and other guest speakers. At this meeting we will be discussing the proposed Controlled Parking Zone and we will be inviting the Housing Services Team from Southwark Housing to come along, so you can meet them. We will also have the recycling team here to answer your questions. Come along and have your say.
Light refreshments are provided and we also pay a carer's allowance for anyone who attends the meeting and has someone at home to care for. (Please collect an expense claim form when you arrive and sign-in at the meeting.)

LATE SUMMER FUN DAY
A good time was had by all who attended the Fun Day on Saturday 15th September in St Giles Churchyard. There was a bouncing castle, face painting and lucky dip for the children. The Camberwell Society organised a Treasure Hunt to test you knowledge about St Giles, Wilson Road and Camberwell. There was free food and massages, the opportunity to learn Petanque, a raffle to win an official Referees shirt from last year's WORLD CUP and information from the Community wardens and the committee of the Wilson's Residents' Association.
WAR MEMORIAL
At 3pm on Monday 17th September there was a short service to unveil the new War Memorial on Camberwell Green. The memorial commemorates the wedding party killed by a bomb in 1940.
MR BIKE CYCLE CLINIC
Southwark Council are offering a FREE bicycle clinic on Camberwell Green on Friday 28th September 7.30am - 9am. Bring your bike for a free health check and basic maintenance from Cycle Training UK's qualified mechanics. This is part of a European wide initiative to get more people into bicycling called European Mobility Week in Southwark The week (16th -22nd September) is dedicated to promoting sustainable forms of transport and reducing

CAMBERWELL LEISURE CENTRE
To make sure that Southwark Council did not forget the Camberwell Baths Campaign over the summer, they held a Swimming March on Saturday 15 September. The March left Camberwell Green at about 11am, swam along Camberwell Church Street to Southwark Town Hall, and finished in Lucas Gardens.

CCS Programme
- 10.30am to 11am Mini Music (0-3) Singing, musical games, storytelling, sound exploration.
- 11am to 12noon Music Club (4-6) Singing, chanting, musical games, breathing and vocal techniques, rhythm work, exploring instruments and composition, with an emphasis on having fun while playing music.
- 12noon to 1pm Juniors (7-9)
- 1.30pm to 2.30pm Seniors (10-14)
Group activities in a wide variety of musical styles focusing on listening and developing musical skills. Children explore vocal and instrumental music using percussion, guitar, steel pans and tuned percussion.
A wide range of music is explored, drawing on the experience of CCS professional staff, ranging from traditional and contemporary African, Afro-Caribbean, South American and Asian music, to jazz, folk, gospel, soul, pop, classical and contemporary classical music.
Core sessions cost just £1. They also offer individual or small group tuition on piano, violin, guitar or drums for a £2 fee.
