For your information ... if you were looking for teletubbies in Spore ... you will never and never will find it ... because since a year ago Teletubbies are highly forbidden distributed by Spore government ... for according to Spore government, teletubbies impact the children growth psychologically ...
Since its first debut in 1997, Teletubbies can be seen in over 120
countries and is very popular among the children, especially the toddlers. We have heard many people said that the characters in this TV serial symbolize the homosexual and paganism.
Whether it is true or not, below are some information that I collected from several sources about Teletubbies, Christianity, and its impact to the children.
There are 4 characters in Teletubbies: Po, Laa-Laa, Dipsy, and Tinky
Winky. Po and Laa-Laa are girls, while Dipsy and Tinky Winky are boys. They have their own characteristics, antenna symbol on their heads, and color of their clothes.
In his article in National Liberty Journal on February 1999, Rev. Jerry Falwell (from Jerry Falwell Ministries)
and http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/DailyNews/falwell990210.html) has
attacked one of Teletubbies characters, “Tinky Winky" as a gay. His reasons are:
Tinky Winky uses a man voice but he carries a purse, he also wears purple clothes, and his antenna symbol is a Triangle pointing down. More
recently, many members of the homosexual community has claimed this symbol -- along
with the color purple -- as their own.
There is a good article from "Edutainment" about "How Teletubbies Teach Toddlers" by Berit Kjos (http://www.crossroad.to/text/articles/teletubbies10-99.html) that explains more details about the indirect impact of Teletubbies to our kids.
According to Kjos, without realizing it, “our children's minds are
being manipulated through "fun" images and strategic imaginary experiences “ so
that they “will absorb multicultural attitudes, including a broader view of sex and gender issues”. This means, our children’s minds are being
indirectly shaped to except the sex and gender issues, such as bisexual, homosexual, as something common and natural. And the TV screen on their
tummies has indirectly shaped children’s mind to put media as their world. You can also find about the meaning of the antenna symbols that being
used by the Teletubbies characters in Kjos’ article.
