A testimony from Japan. This is a writing which I made according to a testimony from my friend about a converted Japanese to Christianity when I was still in the University of Darma Persada studying.
Some decades ago, there lived an educated Japanese. He was on his way to his working site with a train. As the train reached the Sun’s God’s palace, everyone who was in the train were commanded to bow down worshipping the king. All the people in the train bowed down, except the educated Japanese. As a result, he was carried to face the king and his bodyguard forced him to worship the king, but he insisted that he wouldn’t. Then he was beaten and put in prison.
Afterwards the governmental system was changed, so that the verdict like that was invalid for him and he was set free. As a testimony about why he did this, he said:
"At that time, even until death I wouldn’t bow down to the king, because I don’t want to make rubbish EVERYTHING that I have searched for decades and just like that to forget my effort in those years." What is the EVERYTHING?
"Before, I have been being an educated and very count on science. I felt that I had enough knowledge, but still feeling something lost in myself. I thought, the something lost was in some people out there, that’s why I was searching. Then I realized that in collecting thesis, I must search others’ opinions, for maybe mine is not so accurate. And if I have some opinions, I must evaluate others too and must know the mistakes of others if available. It isn’t wise if I close one of my eyes and only look on myself, because it’s so possible that my opinion is the wrong one. If I wasn’t wise, so at finally I should regret on something I could do before. I don’t want to be so fool like that.
"After searching the thing that I looked for, I found out that what I was looking for was concerning spiritual problem, because I felt there is something lack in my spirit. At last I decided to search everything concerning the problem. My belief that I have got might be not so true, or there are something truer, even the absolute truth. As many theories appeared in this world concerning one thing, but only one is the absolute true, that's why I must decide to search out the truth about a belief.
"Later I collected all books concerning the spiritual things in the world and searched thoroughly to get the absolutely true conclusion to prove the truth.
"Supposing that all books I read were the truth, for I cannot say something wrong the things I didn't know. Something comes form the Most High must be always available and cannot be changed. Is it possible for the Most High let His work vanished just like that? Or can a man put out something that belongs to the Most High? So from all the books I searched for something that is really absolute and cannot be denied by others.
"At first I searched about the holy men's birthdays from all over the world, because it's the beginning of the books' existence. Afterward I was interested in a holy man's birthday who was welcomed by the stars that shone so bright when he was born (knowing that the stars are greater than the sun) and there were angels singing praising Him. In the other books I couldn't find things like these. At last I noted in my agenda what I have found:
There was a holy man who was extraordinary, that's born along with stars that shone so bright and praised by angels.
This is my first conclusion I have found.
Then I continued the second thing I wanted to know, that's about the saints' lives. I read and found out that there was a saint who was in full obedience to His parents and very clever since His youth. What a happy life to have a son like Him. Even in His twelfth He was already be able to discuss with the priests until they couldn't answer Him. Of course this saint was different from the other saints and in the other books I couldn't find saints like Him. I noted my agenda that this is an other discovery I have found:
There was a saint who was longed for by every man on the earth, who had something extraordinary in His youth.
That's my second conclusion I have found.
Continuing my research about the ministering period of the saints when they began teaching and doing something wonderful. I found a saint who fasted 40 days and 40 nights to begin His ministry and during ministry He did many miracles which were not done by any other saints, like:
Healing the sick.
Turn the water into wine.
Casting out demons.
Even raising the dead to live.
Really the holiest man I thought. I noted as the next discovery to my agenda:
There was a saint who did extraordinary things, that never be done by other saints.
It's my third conclusion I have found.
Next I looked for the teachings that were taught by the saints. Of course I looked for teaching that was really absolute and have integrity. I found a saint who taught everything with full authority. He dared to confess that He was the Most High and the One Who created heavens and earth, who had come down to the earth to save men from their sins. He too said that only He was the way, the truth, and the life, and no one can come to the Father without Him. After I searched all things, I didn't find any other saints dared to say that. It can be considered a great responsibility of a saint who dared to say that. For no word from the saints which will not be judged by the Mosh High. I noted it as my next discovery:
There was a saint who preached His teachings in absolute way and full of authority and could prove His teachings by great things He did.
It's my fourth conclusion.
Next I searched for the last times the saints were in the world and I think that this is the end of their teachings they brought. At last I found out a saint whose death was so frightening and followed by many signs proving that He was really a saint. So many people disgraced Him, even there were people who tormented Him with undeserved sufferings, but He just stayed quiet and never said even a curse to pay back their wickedness, even He forgave them. Near His death, there was a wicked man cried to Him, who was forgiven, even promising him an eternal life at that very day. I was so impressed knowing that to His death, the sun stopped shining for 3 hours. Of course He was more glorious more than my god, the sun's god, so that even my god respected Him. I read to know that His death was to redeem sins of man and after His death, the saints who were dead before rose up and proclaimed the events. Really an extraordinary event. Afterwards I noted it as my next discovery:
There was a saint whose death was so extraordinary, until even the sun bowed down respecting Him. Near His death, He didn't curse even a bit to the people who crucified Him, but forgave their sins.
It's my fifth conclusion.
After searching the saints' deaths that were available and the most extraordinary one, I thought that all His teaching was ended only to this point, and it was right with the other saints. But this saint's story was not ended up yet because there were still other books in His bible that I hadn't read, in the other hand the others, all were ended and remained their teaching crumbs. I was so excited to what would happen later in the next book, so that I searched it with more interest. Gradually there was a wonderful thing and never happened to the other saints, that's He was resurrected for His death and came back to meet His disciples. Later He taught them again. He lived as an eternal Man, it's difficult to imagine. After He met His disciples, in the fortieth day after His resurrection, He gathered His disciples, then ascended to heaven after blessing them. A story I have never heard before. He promised to come back too and would not let His disciples alone, even He would send the Holy Spirit to be with them. Then He ascended to heaven and disappear from their sight. I noted it as my sixth discovery:
There was a saint who resurrected back from His death and ascended to heaven, and promised that He would come back later to fetch His disciples.
It's my sixth conclusion.
I read again His books and eager to know if His promise would be fulfilled, and actually His promise is fixed. On the fiftieth day after His resurrection, the Holy Spirit who He promised came down and be with His disciples who waited for His promise, so that they could heal the sick and even able to raise the dead like He did before. What a beautiful thing. At that time in my inner heart rose up a desire to be His disciple. After I searched for more and knew that He is always faithful to this day and will never reject people who come to Him. I noted it as my last conclusion:
There was a saints who had given powers to His disciples so that they too could do the things He had done.
This is my last conclusion.
At last I have found what I looked for so long, that's the absolute truth, which is in a Man that never sins, because He is God who became a Man. All conclusions which I have stated entirely have their origin from a Man named the Lord Jesus Christ. Non one in this world can deny Him, because really He is the Only One God.
Only Jesus is a Man who is called Lord and there is none else.
Only Him the Creator of all of us.
What I have written here is of nothing compared with what I have read, that's what I read in the Bible. I give this testimony to encourage you who have known the truth, because all are proven that:
There is only a Man who has absolute truth.
There is only a Man who can save men from sins, the Man that never sins, God who became a Man, the Lord Jesus Christ.
"I challenge you who have not believed to prove these which I had searched!"
