Welcome to the Witkover's Family Album Page

We belong to the Huntington Camera Club on Long Island, New York, and consider ourselves as serious amateur photographers. The Club has monthly competitions in which an outside judge critiques and scores your work. You soon learn that family snapshots have no place in that league. But perhaps these family photos are really the most important of all. I know how I felt when I came across a box of old black and white photos (some of them from 1900) of my long gone relatives. So here are a few pictures of our family. There are no prize winning images, just real people who are very important.

We'll start out with a picture of me doing one of my favorite activities. Unfortunately I don't often get the chance.

Here is the mother of the family, Carole. You can't see the whole outfit, but she is wearing one of her tap dancing costumes. Carole no longer performs in public but still enjoys tapping with the girls each week.

This is my son-in-law Jim in his Clark Gable imitation pose. He is a great singer but with his family responsibilities he doesn't have time to get on the stage any more. Pity.

This is our daughter Gail, who is married to Jim. She enjoys singing too but mostly to her daughter Sarah.

And speaking of the family here is grandma, grandpa daughter Gail and our pride and joy, grand-daughter Sarah.

Here is our son David. As you can see he also is a SCUBA diver (a better one than I am) and also certified in CAVE DIVING.

This is our grand-daughter Sarah. Three years old and she counts to 50 in english, 10 both forward and back in spanish, and to 10 in japanese, thanks to Sesame Street.

Misty is our dog (she's the one on the left). She has been with us for 14 years, which I am told is equivalent to about 100 "human" years. She is showing her age now: her eyesight and hearing are not what they used to be, but she can still hear the sound of her food bowl hitting the floor.
