The dream of many Americans is to create a home, a place to call their own. A home is an expression of ourselves and our values. The choice of our home design is more than a consumer decision; it speaks of who we are.

A properly designed energy efficient home, of our design, will give us many years of happiness. A home is the largest single financial investment of our lives. A great deal of research, planning and effort are involved in developing a functional home

With more and more people building their own homes, land and natural resources are in demand and short supply. Keeping these things in mind you will design a home plan that meets EPA energy usage standards, uses at least one kind of renewable energy either as a primary or secondary heating source, has as little wasted space as possible (maximize living area), and incorporates recycled materials in some way.
