On September 10, 1998 we purchased a 1/2 acre camp site on Lake Champlain (Campbell Bay ) in West Swanton VT. The site has two cabins on it which we plan to modify to the way we would like it. We are looking forward to lot of boating and fishing. The site is about 2 miles from the Canadian border. The ice storm they had in 1997 created havoc with the shed and trees on the property but nothing that some loving care and labor will not fix.

We spent the summer of 1999 at the camp fixing the camp the way we wanted it. The children and their spouses and some of their friends did the bulk of the work. We didn't get to feed the fish much but got a lot of work done. The pictures above show some of the milestones of the project.

The spring and summer of 2000 was spent finishing the inside. It started early in the spring when the children installed most of the wallboard and got it painted before Jo and I got there. By early summer it was 99% done. Pictures of the inside are in the Year 2000 page.
