Gretna Green

| We drove from Manchester International Airport north to the rolling hills of the Scottish Borders. | |
 | Our first stop in Scotland was Gretna Green. In earlier days,
it was easier to marry in Scotland than England, and Gretna Green became the place to go
for a quick wedding. The tradition still endures, there were three couples getting married on the day we were there. |
