Ft. William June 15, 2000
Ft. William is a busy tourist town set at the southern end of the Great Glen. This rift valley cuts north across the Highlands from Ft. William to Inverness. The town isn't that pretty, but there are lots of shops and a helpful Tourist Information Center. The scenery nearby is amazing, especially Glen Nevis and Ben Nevis, the country's highest mountain.

Black-faced sheep were very common around Ft. William and throughout Scotland. | ![]() |
