Our school is a fucking mess. If it seems like we keep getting fucked over and out every year, you're not alone. And you're right, we are getting fucked over. And it seems the things have only gotten worse since McGuire came into our school and decided to enstate marshall law on just about evey aspect of our education. One of the biggest problems in our school is overcrowding. Every year the freshmen class size grows. Theres a new school being built, but I doubt that will solve much of anything since our board of education lets 5 year olds do the districting. Question: how many times have you gone down to lunch, only to find yourself waiting in line for 10 minutes? And this doesn't just apply for buying meals, even purchasing a simple drink or yogurt takes this long. Our lunchrooms are built to hold 580 people at a time, yet B, C, and D lunches have 600 kids in each lunch. And the freshmen academy class is forced to eat lunch in the middle of 3rd hour, a time that most of us would be eating breakfast. Okay now you might say "what can McGuire do about that? The amount of kids in our school is completely out of her control." Granted, she can't help the number of kids that crowd Walled Lake Western. The problem is that in spite of our overload of students, #1 stupid cunt McGuire imposes rules such as not letting food out of the cafeteria and closed campus during lunch. Solving the problem of finding seating for children during lunch is as simple as putting 3 or 4 tables outside of the cafeteria. And if students were allowed to walk to McDonalds or drive to a resturaunt during lunch, crowding would certainly go down. But no, "We have to hope that some kids either don't eat, or eat in a hurry and leave," said McGuire in a recent Detroit News article. Now thats a pretty shitty posistion to put the students in when you have solutions in the palm of your hand. And it doesn't look like we'll be getting smaller classes any time soon either. On the matter of shrinking the student body, our friendly superintendent Geisler says it "isn't going to be possible here, there's just not enough money." Oh is that so? Thats an interesting statement in light of the rapings up the ass that we students are given every day financially. It not costs an outrageous 4 dollars for a small meal and an insane 5 bucks for a large. If you're not already paying with food stamps, the lunch prices will put you on them. These lunches don't even have much food in them and are about as healthy as eating dirt. Better quality meals can be found at any fast food resturaunt, and for less money. If this 25% increase in lunch prices isn't enough income for our school, I guess it explains the $60 dollars you have to pay to park at school. Parking at school is a right that most schools give for free. Even so, our school charges the most for parking of any nearby school. And a letter was recently sent home telling how over 30 students are on a waiting list for parking. How can we deny students the right to drive themselves to school when there is another parking lot on the opposite side of the school? The administration's logic for opposing to open the other parking lot escapes me. Currently only the top 30 students are allowed to park on the teacher side. May I reiterate that this is a public school. Every student should have equal rights, regardless of acedemic preformance. I hate this school. Our school is a fucking mess. Geisler says: "When kids are in huge high schools, it's real easy for them to become invisible. We want to be able to know them." Maybe he should tell this to Dr. McGuire. This is the woman who spends so much time in her office she had to hire a co-principal just for public relations. I have seen McGuire in the halls maybe twice all year. Mr. Barlow on the other hand, is a completely competent man and I see him quite frequently interacting with the students and being generally friendly. Apparently McGuire is too busy all day deciding how to tap into students wallets rather than interact with them. But I can't blame our cowardly principal for avoiding the hallways during passing time, its like navigating your way through a mosh pit. But there is one thing I can blame her for: diversity training bullshit. Groups like AAA and CARE segregate our school and destroy its sense of unity. Maybe Michigan schools wouldn't be rated so poorly if we would teach math and science instead of the difference between black and white. And one last thing, what the fuck is up with our schools air conditioning? I leave one class with ice cicles hanging from my nipples, only to have them melted off by the blistering heat of the next hour. Maybe in the 10 minutes we waste every day watching the pitiful announcements could be spent fixing the fucking thermostats. So I hope you all walk away from reading this giant rant with the idea that our school sucks, and the administration is doing nothing to help. Where the fuck did Dr. McGuire get her PHD anyway, a cracker jack box? She must have been taking courses in making small children cry. I still think that she is only using her posistion as principal as a stepping stone to get to a more powerful role somewhere in the school board.
