New World Arrivals | |
My earliest immigrant ancestor who arrived in America was the Reverend Haute Wyatt who came to the Virginia Colony with his brother, Sir Francis Wyatt, in 1621. Sir Francis Wyatt was governor of the Virginia Colony from 1621-26 and again from 1639-42. One of the last to arrive in the new world was Friedrich Wilhelm Aspelmeyer who landed in Baltimore in 1848. Friedrich came from Westphalia in Northern Germany (then Prussia). Between 1621 and 1848 several other ancestors also arrived in the new world. A few were Scotch-Irish, the vast majority were either English or German. The table below is a list of immigrants I have confirmed through research. |
