Nestled in the middle of Miami, Coconut Grove is like a great garden breaking the monotonous cityscape. Built in the 1800's, the Grove has always been home to sailors, artists, the rich and famous, as well as the hip, the trendy and the would-be. People flood its streets nightly, visiting the myriad of bars, clubs and restaurants available. Shops line the streets by the dozens and at the very center, "the heart and beat of the Grove," lies Cocowalk.
Coconut Grove holds many Kindred investments as well as interest, among other things. Many of the neonates of the city make this natural catwalk their hunting grounds every night, passing as either struggling artists, Goths, wannabes, posers, clubbers, etc. So far, the Grove has been a sort of Elysium; as the struggle for the city's control rages on, many Kindred find the relative peace offered by the Grove relaxing and welcoming. So far no vampire has dared break the unspoken non-aggression status of the area. It's to be seen whether once Miami has a new Prince the Grove will retain it's special status or not. For now, however, vampires roam the streets of Coconut Grove, mingle with patrons at the bars and restaurants they own and walk side by side with mortals at Cocowalk and Mayfair.
Obviously, this peace will not last much longer. It never does in the World of Darkness.
