A young man of gifted beauty and sensibility, Korin, with his trademark long, flowing white hair, is a man whom the Embrace has severed from everything he once believed. Tall even without the favored platform shoes that are abundant in his collection, Korin is only now beginning to realize the extent of his new life, and all that he has lost.
Born to Caroline Morrisey in South Hampton, England, May 5th, 1975, Korin was somewhat blessed from the beginning, in that he was made aware of the magical nature of the world since the very start. The older of two children, Korin and his sister, Sally, were raised in an environment that would foster and nurture Korin's dreamer personality to the utmost, but provide the perfect backdrop for the tragedy that his life would become.
Caroline, a somewhat trained mage of the Verbena tradition, and a believer of the Goddess, raised her children in a household where magickal occurrences where not rare, but not common either. The belief in the supernatural and the hidden magical nature of the world was so ingrained in the family that, for some reason, Paradox was almost nonexistent, even in the most vulgar displays of magickal prowess, within the confines of the household. "There is a lot more to the world than the visible," was the lesson Caroline taught her children, and they learned it very well.
Korin saw from a very young age the faeries of lore prancing around in the forest around the house and, eventually, he developed a good relationship with them, to the point where one of the fae decided to tie his life with Korin's. They became inseparable. However, throughout their lives, both Korin and his sister would ask endless questions about their father, a man they only knew from scarce stories and faded photographs.
An American from Miami, Florida, who came to England to pursue some sort of dream, Steve (for Korin knows as much as his name) met and romanced Caroline in the streets of London. From that union both children were born in rapid succession. Shortly after Sally's birth, Steve disappeared, leaving behind a legacy of confusion and unanswered questions, to both Caroline and her children.
By the time of his 18th birthday, Korin's curiosity for his father was strong enough to carry him, along with his mother's blessing, across the seas, to Miami. There he attended the University of Miami, all the while starting his search for his father, the proverbial needle in the haystack. Immersing himself in the Gothic subculture, Korin made a whole new set of friends and made new late-night houses out of certain clubs. It was in one of those clubs that he met Christian.
