The Nova Scotia Naturopathic Association
registers Naturopathic Doctors who have completed
a four year post-graduate program in Naturopathic Medicine
from an accredited institution, and who have written standardized
North American Board Examinations. Although many provinces
license and regulate Naturopathic practice, the Nova Scotia
government has yet to do so. Consequently, Nova Scotia residents
must protect themselves by researching a practitioner's qualifications
prior to booking an appointment. All qualified ND's (Naturopathic Doctors)
in Nova Scotia are members of the Canadian Naturopathic Association,
