DEDICATION
Alzheimer Angels started out as a tribute to my own mother, Vivian Hanby, who suffered and died from this disease. However, I came to know and truly accept as my sister in spirit, Brenda Race, whose mother, Frances Willmart, also struggled with this debilitating disease. Over 10 months’ time, we became united in our goal to ease the suffering and struggle of these who endure Alzheimers. We formed a support group called Passage, in honor of my own mother, to help other caregivers in their struggles to survive the agonizing ordeal of Alzheimers…..
Throughout the year 1999, Frances Willmart became as real a person to me as anyone whom I have ever known personally. Through her words to me, I found so many beautiful insights into the Kingdom of God and the realities of how it feels from the ‘inside out’ to suffer with Alzheimers. I will be forever grateful for the relationship we shared and for her leaving her daughter with me – ‘Come along and grow old with me, for the very best is even yet to be’……

WE
You are you and I am me Together make a pretty good 'WE' We laugh, we cry, we have some fun We learn of God, and why His Son Came forth to bring us liberty For it's HIS Joy that makes us free!! Although we often find ourselves In trials abundant - Yet we tell Each other all that's happening We share our tears, and then we sing!! We dance and clap our hands in glee It's obvious why we are 'WE'... For God has given mortal man Salvation in His nail-scarred hands And He has brought opportunity By me with you - and you with me - He looked from Heaven, down and said OH OH These ones hang down their heads Angels - Round them up for Me --- That's how you and I became a 'WE' When our hearts break, we have someone Who soothes our pain and makes life fun An understanding soul to find --- God's peace imparted to our minds God looks at us and what He sees Is who we are still yet to be --- Because of you and also me God's love united us as 'WE'... Throughout our journey on this earth At last, we truly know our worth It should not come as a surprise For we see God in each other's eyes And we know best from where we've been That this is truly born of Him --- God teaches us who we should be Perfecting both, simplistically So that our lives continue on We walk in truth - and only ONE Directs our lives and helps us see The treasure that we have as 'WE'...... © 1999 Dorothy Womack **Dedicated to my SISTER in SPIRIT - Brenda Race
