Part 3

*NSync were all sitting in a row, answering to all the questions like they always did. But Justin and Chris kept glaring at Lance and JC. Joey was his normal self, smiling honestly and laughing with the interviewer. He did notice the staring game taking place between Lance and JC but didn't focus on that. They were live on TV so at least one of them had to look interested.

After the interview Lance and JC smiled at each other, proud of themselves. They climbed into the limo and Justin immediately sat beside JC before Lance so the green-eyed man had to sit between Joey and Chris.

" What's the deal? What happened out there?" Justin asked to JC, looking at him. Lance hid his smile and found a new interest into his ring.
" I don't know what you're talking about? What's wrong with you Justin? You're kinda jumpy today." JC said, frowning falsely.
" You were gazing at Lance as if he was the most beautiful thing in the world." Justin exclaimed, getting frustrated. Chris, Lance and Joey started to laugh and soon JC followed.
" Don't worry Curly. Everyone still thinks you are the hottest." Joey said as a shy smile appeared on the youngest face. " Just relax man." Joey said after he calmed down.
" Okay, maybe I'm overreacting." Justin admitted, forgetting the discussion for now but determined to find what was going on between his two bandmates.

Once they were back at the hotel, Lance went immediately to his room, turning his laptop on and logging on. It wasn't long before he found what he was looking for. He smiled proudly as he saw the result of their staring game. People believed it so they had very good chances that their friends would believe it too.

JC walked in as Lance was shutting off his laptop.

" We did a very good job" Lance said as he turned to JC who was now sitting on the bed.
" Why are you saying that?" JC asked, surprised by the confidence in Lance's voice.
" I have contacts outside. Trust me, before the end of the week the guys will believe we truly are together." The young blond said as he took his cell phone and sat on the other bed. " I have some calls to do. I hope you don't mind?"
" That's why we're doing all this." JC said, taking his songbook in his bag. " Bobbie is coming here tonight. Wanna watch a movie with us?"
" Yeah. Sure." Lance said before dialling the first number of a long list and loosing himself into his Freelance stuff.

Few hours later Lance, JC and Bobbie were sitting on the couch in front of the TV. They were watching Me, myself and Irene and Bobbie was seriously bored. She had never been a Jim Carey fan but hadn't complained. She looked at Lance and JC who were giggling on their side of the couch.

" Stop that. I'm trying to watch a movie." Lance whispered, his deep laugh echoing through the hotel room.
" I'm not doing anything." JC replied innocently as he poked Lance's ribs again.
" JC…" Lance reprimanded, laughing.

Bobbie rolled her eyes and stood up, doubting the other two would notice. She grabbed her purse and headed for the bar in the hotel. She could at least try to have fun.

" Hey Bobbie." Joey said as he saw he walking into the bar. She smiled and walked to his table, sitting on the other side. " How comes you're alone tonight? JC's not with you?"
She sighed and gave him a fake smile. " Let say something is going on and it wasn't my place. Nothing good will come out of it."
Joey leaned forward over the table and grinned. " Please share girl I want to know everything."
" I can't. I promised." She said, shaking her head. At her owns surprise, Joey laughed softly and sat back in his chair.
" I'll tell you what I know and you fill me in with what is missing."

She eyed him suspiciously; wondering what he was up to. In his eyes she saw knowledge, letting her know it might be an interesting conversation. She grinned and ordered a beer to the waiter walking by, setting herself for a long talk.

The next day, after everyone had eaten together in Chris and Justin room, Lance and JC disappeared into their room. Hours later JC was looking through the peephole, knowing one of their bandmates would check on them soon. As expected, he saw Justin standing in front of the door, getting ready to knock.

" Okay, he's there." JC whispered excitedly as he made a run to the bed and sat on it. Lance took the pad of paper lying on the table and sat comfortably on a chair as Justin knocked at the door.
" Come in." Lance yelled, taking his pen and continuing his drawing.

Justin opened the door and walked in slowly. He first noticed how concentrated Lance looked, drawing something. He moved closer and noticed JC sitting still on the bed. He looked at Lance's drawing and could recognised JC.

" What are you doing?"
" Isn't obvious? I'm drawing JC." Lance replied, sticking his tongue out in concentration.
" Oh." Justin said, more confused than he was before.
" Don't mess up Lance. I don't want to look bad. It has to be great. And don't mess with the colors either." JC said from his spot on the bed.
" Josh, I'm only using a black pen." Lance said softly, looking quickly at JC and smiling sweetly. Justin stood between the two and observed the exchange. " Anyway if I were a painter and I was mixing colors, how could I ever find the blue of your eyes?" He continued tenderly.

Justin coughed and started to shift on his foots.

" Is there anything you needed Just?" Lance asked, remembering his younger friend standing there.
" Hum…no. I'm fine. I…I think Chris wanted to talk to me." He practically ran out of the room, closing the door quickly behind him.
" Lance, that was cheesy. Where did that come from?" JC asked. Lance grinned and put his pad of paper back on the table.
" O-Town's lyrics. I thought I could use it somewhere someday."
" At least, you sounded really sure about it. No wonder Justin ran out of here." JC said, laughing.
" Well, you know it's true. The blue of your eyes is unique." Lance said as he went to the bed and threw himself on it, hugging the pillow to his chest. " I'm taking a nap. Talk to you later." He said, closing his eyes.
" I'm…I'm gonna go talk with Bobbie." JC said, still shocked by Lance's compliment. " Yeah. A talk with Bobbie. Good idea. Yeah." He mumbled as he walked out of the room.
