Part 9
JC opened one eye, lost for a moment not remembering where he was. He opened the second and saw Lance staring at him worriedly. The brunet sat up abruptly in the bed when he realised where he was. Lance jumped at the sudden movement and walked to the bed.
" The test. I have to go back. Now!"
" No way! You're staying here. You're hurt, apparently you've been beaten, I'm not letting you go anywhere until you get better and even if you get better don't think I will let you leave so easily. I want explanation, I want answer and I want you. I don't want to run after you anymore. I don't want you to go back there because I'm afraid of what will happen. I want you here with me, now, today. Not tomorrow, not in two weeks. Right now. I don't want to let you go because I don't want to lose you again." Lance said in one breath, grabbing JC by the shoulders.
" You don't understand Lance…I. Have. To. Go. Back." JC said slowly before breaking off Lance's embrace. He stood up but immediately regret it as a shot of pain ran through his leg. " Oh god…" He moaned sitting back on the bed.
" Let me see."
Lance leaned down and examined JC's ankle. It was swollen and lightly blue. Lance went to the minibar and found some ice to put on the swollen ankle. Gently he pushed JC against the headboard and took care of his love. When everything looked fine, he sat at the end of the bed and gazed at JC.
" Tell me what happened. And don't give me this shit about going back there okay. You may believe in all their crap but I don't and there's no way I'll ever believe it."
JC swallowed and shifted uncomfortably. " It was a test. They wanted to see if I would stay or leave. I…yesterday, I saw you and Joey. I tried to reach you but they didn't let me. Serge said I was a part of the plan and me leaving would ruin it all. But he knew I wanted to leave. He…" JC looked away, the steady gaze of Lance on him making him uncomfortable. " he threatened to hurt you. It was you or I. If I leave, he will take you and it's the last thing I want. So they brought me to the side of the road, hit me a couple of times threw me on the ground and basically hit me again. Then they left, telling me that if I were still there this morning, they wouldn't touch you. I need to go back Lance." He finally said, looking at the young blonde.
" Josh, I won't let them near of you again." Lance said, moving to JC and hugging him tightly.
" You don't understand. I don't care what they do to me. I don't want you to get hurt, ever. I'm scared for you." A single tear rolled down his cheek. Lance kissed it away as the phone rang. Keeping his eyes on JC, Lance picked it up.
" Yeah?" His deep voice echoed through the room, a sound JC would never get tired to hear. JC tried to listen the conversation but he was mesmerised by those green eyes. The way they made him feels important and loved.
" The guys are coming over." Lance said, breaking the spell JC had been under.
It wasn't long before they heard the door opening and three worried voices walking through it.
" Do you know what you put us through? Do you know how miserable Lance was? Have you thought about him at all? How can you be so stupid?" Justin questioned, his eyes dancing with anger.
" Calm down Justin. Give him a chance to explain okay." Chris said, placing a comforting hand on the young man shoulder. Justin glared at his friend before sitting at the end of the bed.
" I'm sorry." JC sobbed, bringing his knees to his chest, ignoring the pain he felt by doing it. He was too ashamed to look at his friends, to see the disgust in their eyes.
" Are you in pain?" Lance asked, seeing his love face flinch. JC shook his head, closing the door for Lance concern. " Yes you are. I'm going to the drugstore and I'll bring you something to ease the pain. Will you be okay until then?" Hesitantly, JC nodded, avoiding the gaze of everyone. "Okay."
Lance stood up, took his wallet and motioned for Justin to follow him in the hall. Lance closed the door quietly and turned to Justin.
" Don't let him leave. No matters what he says. And call the security and tell them to be aware of everything. We might get some trouble." Justin nodded.
" What kind of trouble Lance?"
" I don't know. I really don't know." Lance said, walking toward the elevator. He waved at his friend before disappearing into the elevator.
Back in the room, silence welcomed Justin. JC was curled on the bed while Chris and Joey were simply watching him. The curly man sighed and moved between his two older friends.
" Did he said something?" Justin asked quietly. Joey shrugged and shook his head. " There's something I don't understand. This guy, I guess JC met him two months ago, when he ran out on me. But how did him bring him into all this shit? We never were in the same city more than 2 days in a row."
" He followed me." JC mumbled from him spot on the bed. " He asked me if I needed him with me and I said yes. I paid for the plane tickets, I paid for his hotel rooms, I paid for everything."
" You what?" Chris asked, incredulously.
" I paid. I thought it could be good to have him with me. He was helping me. I thought he was." JC said, sitting at the edge of the bed.

Lance walked in the hotel lobby, surprising himself at how fast he had went to the drugstore. He wouldn't admit it but he was scared after what JC had told him. He shrugged it away until a familiar face came into his view. Anger clouded the usually calm green eyes. Forgetting he didn't have security with him, he walked to the man.
" Serge I suppose?" He asked coldly. He was rewarded by an evil grin.
" Yes. I'm glad to see you Lance. You're making it easier than I thought." Lance took a step back and glared at the man.
" Leave Josh alone. He don't want anything to do with any of you."
" Oh I don't want him anyway. He proves us he was weak. He didn't have what we really need. But you have it." A look a fear crossed the young face, now fully aware he was alone.
" What…what do you mean?" He stammered.
" Your innocence Lance. The innocence emanating from you is overwhelming. You'll open the door of our paradise." Serge said, his voice low and menacing.
" I'm not going with you. Now leave us alone."
Lance started to walk away of Serge quickly but was stopped by two strong arms. He looked around; searching for help but mysteriously the lobby was empty. Panicking, he tried to kick whoever was holding him until he felt something in his arm. The man, who Lance assumed was probably Serge, held the needle strongly. Lance fight but his force was slowly fading away and soon he was surrounded by the darkness.

" Where's Lance?" JC asked nervously. Something was wrong. He knew it.
" He went to the drugstore JC. We already told you." Chris said, exasperated.
" It was one hour ago Chris. No one takes one hour to go to a drugstore when there's one just beside the hotel." JC nearly yelled.
" He's right. Lance never takes so much time." Justin said, looking worriedly at Joey.
" You think we should check on him?" Joey asked, ready to go.
" I'm going with you." Chris said, standing up and taking his wallet.
Justin nodded but didn't move, having no intention to leave. He gave a look at JC, telling him to not even think about going with them.
