The Angelus

V/ The Angel o the Lord declared unto Mary,
R/ And she was concieved by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary...
V/ Behold the handmaiden of the Lord,
R/ Be it done according to Thy will.
Hail Mary...
V/ And the Word was made flesh,
R/ And dwelt amoung them.
Hail Mary...
V/ Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,
R/ That we may be worthy of the promises of Chirst.
Let us pray.
P Pour forth, we bessech You, O lord, your grace unto our heart; that we to whom the Incanration of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an Angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Ressurection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

T he Angelus is a devotional prayer to Mary, recalling the events of the Annucation and the Incarnation. It is to be said in the morning, at noon, at evening, and before bed. It is also written to be said in group prayer. See Notes
