Mega Man VII

Story
After being imprisoned Dr. Wily is still causing trouble. Without being used in six months his labs activates and sends four robots to find and rescue their creator. Dr. Wily is sprung from prison and during the attack Mega Man meets two new robots Bass and his dog Treble. Bass seems to also want to help in capturing Dr. Wily.

Characters
Proto Man He's here and appears occasionally to give hints to Mega Man. If you find him and beat him he'll give you the Proto Shield. It will block normal shots. See places below in order for fighting him.
  1. In Cloud Man's stage climb up the "high to" reach ladder in the building by using Rush Coil. Proto Man tells you to use the flame weapon (Surge Wheel) in the forest (Slash Man).
  2. In Turbo Man's stage on the ladder where the enemy in the tire is, right before the jets of flame walk through the right wall (traffic light) to see him. He either tells you that you need to collect the Rush plates for the Super Adaptor or that Super Mega Man can't slide while wearing the adaptor.
  3. In Shade Man's stage after you beat "outside" the pumpkin mini-boss climb down the ladder to the Sniper Joe (an original Mega Man robot with a name). Walk through the wall he's blocking to a path (use Rush Search for a Mega Bolt) and a boss room. Beat Proto Man for his shield. Proto Man has four attacks. The first is rapid-fire shots. Just jump over them. The next is the dash, which he charges across the floor to the other slid of the room, jump. He can use his Proto Buster, which is four times longer than Mega Man's, jump really far. The last is he hops really high and shoots once, twice, then a spray and jumps to the other side. Just time a walk through the spray on the floor. Since he has the Proto Shield you can only hit him when he's shooting. Use the Mega Buster since all other weapons are too slow.
Rush He's back and with new abilities. To get his abilities you must find them in the in capsule in the stages or buy them from Auto after if he has his Hyper Bolt. Dr. Light also enhanced the previous attributes by creating the Super Adapter.
Coil
Jump on his back and spring up like the original.
Jet
Use the Lighting Bolt on the machine at the base of a long climb up in Junk Man's stage. This will get the elevators moving and reveal the hidden capsule. This jet is the forward propelling one.
Search
It is in plane sight of Freeze Man's stage just take the blocks across the path instead of the platforms below. This adaptor allows Rush to search the area. If there is a secret room or item around he'll bark. When he's on an edge and there is no secret he'll yawn and fall asleep. If he's not by a ledge and there's no secret he'll dig and give you an item or piece of junk. The junk can be the following: a doll, robot toy, Earthworm Jim's gun, a bomb, sun glasses, fish bones, a Game Boy, false teeth, and a bone. Good boy Rush, you found me garbage.
Super Adaptor
This is Jet and Power Mega Man combined for Super Mega Man. You can use the jets and the Rocket Buster. The Rocket buster is like the Mega Buster but when charged it shoots Mega Man's arm a short distance for a punch. To get it you must collect the plates to spell Rush.
R
In Burst Man's stage, it's in plane sight. Just wait for the water to carry you to it.
U
In Cloud Man's stage when you come to the place where the platforms are visible only when you get near them climb up the ladder in the middle to where the life is. Use Rush Coil and jump all the way to the far left where there are more platforms and the letter. Using Freeze Cracker on the second weather controlling machine helps a lot since the platform are covered in snow and are visible.
S
In Junk Man's stage use the Freeze Cracker on the molten metal flows to open a passage down where the letter is block by another flow. Use the Freeze Cracker again to get it.
H
In Freeze Man's stage after the falling icicle take the ladder up where the letter is. Jump and use Rush Coil while in the air to get Rush on the lowest ice platform. Jump on him and swerve to the top platform and the letter. This is the only way to get it.
Beat Beat is missing but when rescued will perform the same function of rescuing Mega Man from pits. After he hauls you out, if you don't touch the ground you can steer Beat for a while. You find him in Slash Man's stage. In the woods use Surge Wheel on the trees burn them and reveal a ladder. Up there is Beat and you can get him out of the cage only by firing with a charged Mega Buster.
Auto This is Dr. Light's assistance and works in Eddie's Cybernetic Support Shop. (Push select at the stage select.) With the bolts Mega Man collects he can make items. When you find his Hyper Bolt he can make all the listed items. It's in Spring Man's stage, near the end in the huge room with the space background climb to the upper-left hand corner of the room. Hop on the Spring-In-The-Box till it faces the left wall. When it pops out the wall is blown out and the Hyper Bolt is in the room.
Bass A new robot that seems to be helping Mega Man against Wily.
Treble Following the traditional Japanese rival character scheme this is Bass's dog, only its a wolf. He too can transform like Rush.

Items
Bolt
Comes in large, small and Mega, these are use to make other items by Auto.
Weapon Tank
Restores all the weapons' energy.
Super Tank
Restores all energy.
Beat Whistle
Adds another time for Beat to save you.
Exit
Use this in a completed round to teleport out of it. This can be found in Freeze Man's stage. Use Rush Search a few Mega Man's before the gate.
Energizer Equalizer
If you pick up a Weapon Capsule while you have the Mega Buster the capsule will be use on the weapon with the least energy. This can be found in Shade Man's stage. At the pumpkin mini boss defeat it by only hitting the innermost orange pumpkins. If done right it will ram the far wall. In this (most likely new area to you) use Rush Search under Wily's portrait.
Hyper Rocket Buster
This enhances the Rocket Buster by increasing its range to a screen length and adds a homing device. It can be found in Turbo Man's stage. While climbing up the ladder after all those tires trying to knock you down fly to the little platform on the left you see and use Rush Search there.

Tricks
Hidden Music Hold down B while choosing Shade Man to hear a remix of the Ghoul and Ghosts (NES, SNES) instead of the normal background music. This works only if you haven't defeated him yet.

Robots Masters

Burst Man
Danger Wrap shoots a bomb encased in a bubble that go in an upward arc like F(x)=1/x, up you push up and shoot the bubble goes strait up, if you push forward and shoot the bubble goes in a more strait arc, and if you push down and shot you drop a bomb; small enemies can be encased and rammed for an explosion
Surge Wheel, Freeze Cracker Burst Man will do any of the following attacks in randomly: jump forward a little, send out three bubble which bounce Mega Man and get in the way, or pump the floor and bubbles try to float Mega Man to the spiked ceiling. If Burst Man is hit with a charge Mega Buster, Surge Wheel or Freeze Cracker he'll stop whatever he's doing and send out four spaced Danger Warps. If Mega Man is caught he'll float to the ceiling were the spikes are. Bombs do burst from the bubbles and Burst Man but they are no real threat. Send Surge Wheel to Burst Man and always jump of the Danger Wraps. Also keep in mind the Surge Wheel is great for removing the wall of bubbles. He should be no problem. If you get encases fire way and lean to the left otherwise you'll land in the next bubble.

Cloud Man
Lighting Bolt shoots out lighting, can charge machines in Junk Man's stage and charges Turbo Man and Spring Man
Danger Wrap This is Cloud Man's wave. Get hit by lighting and send it to Mega Man, slide. Go to the ground and shock the floor, jump. Next cause it to rain and shock the floor again twice, jump and slide. Finally float-pace back and forth to run over Mega Man, slide; repeat. If you hit him with danger wrap he gets caught, falls and starts the cycle over. Just keep hitting him.

Junk Man
Junk Shield summons a shield of Junk, if you shoot while you have the shield it explodes out from Mega Man
use Lighting Bolt Finally a shield Robot Master that doesn't hide. Junk Man starts by jumping up, and causing the ground to shake and junk to rain. Be sure to jump otherwise you will be temporarily frozen. Then he draws forth the junk into a block and rams it to the far wall. He jumps and spins into the trash to form the shield (you can shoot him). He then send the junk to Mega Man and if he connects Mega Man is frozen until Junk Man rams him. Finale he jumps from one side of the screen to the next while throwing garbage, just slide. If you hit him with the Lighting Bolt he starts the process over.

Freeze Man
Freeze Cracker sends out a snowflake that explodes shards if it hits a wall, you can send it on a diagonal if you press up or down; this is also used to freeze the molten metal in Junk Man's stage and cause it to snow in Cloud Man's stage if you hit the weather controlling robot
Junk Shield The wave is so, jump strait up and then release a Freeze Cracker, jump forward and throw a Freeze Cracker on the ground, immobilizing Mega Man if he's on it when the ice spreads. Next throw a Freeze Cracker up and create a wave of falling icicle and walk a bit. Just use Junk Shield and slide to dodge. Freeze Man is very quick so he'll most likely run into you when you dodge incorrectly. If you use Freeze Cracker he'll heal himself. Also Freeze Man won't move at the beginning until Mega Man moves, after a while he'll taunt him.

Interlude
Dr. Wily is fully operational and sent out four other robots. He also dropped by the robot museum, where all the Mega Man robots are held under glass, to steal Guts Man.

Clown Bot
Danger Warp Just dodge him when he jump and shoot a Mega Buster on the head. When it pops off use Danger Wrap on his head, take advantage of dropping mines directly on it.

Robots Masters II

Slash Man
Slash Claw causes a nearby slash like Wolverine's's claws
Freeze Cracker or Surge Wheel (Freeze is better) Slash Man wave is this jump twice, stop, and slash. If you hit him with a Freeze Cracker or Surge Wheel (the Wheel is very hard to do) he'll jump to the hidden section of the screen and drop eggs. They drop goo on the ground that immobilizes Mega Man and if he's hit Mega Man is a target. When Mega Man is coated he can't slide or shoot, and the only way to remove it is to be slashed. Slash Man then slides down on one of the walls and either torpedoes to the floor or falls to the ground. Just should and avoid the eggs. The far ends of the screen are usually safe from the eggs.

Spring Man
Wild Coil shoots one bouncing coil forward and backward, you can charge them like the Mega Buster
Slash Claw Spring Man will jump high and far around the screen. After three jumps he'll pump out two annoying springs that bounce around. Next he'll jump high and send out two punches, one after another after wind-ups, directly at Mega Man. If Spring Man is near Mega Man he'll grab him and smash his head on the ceiling. If you hit Spring Man with a slash Claw he'll do the punch route that is easy to dodge without the coils. If you hit him with a Lighting Bolt he's charges and attracts Mega Man to grab him and pound him on the ceiling. Just slash, dodge, dodge, and repeat.

Shade Man
Noise Crush sends out an ultra sonic wave which bounces back and forth on walls, if Mega Man catches a bounce he the Noise Crush is charged
Wild Coil Shade Man hides by the ceiling and flies around. He'll make a dive a Mega Man and if he's caught he'll suck his energy and add it to his own. He'll make another dive then fly to the ground on one side of the screen. Next he'll send two slow eye beams which turn Mega Man into stone and can only be removed by a Noise Crush, his. Then Shade Man will shoot a Noise Crush from the ground then one a little up. If they don't hit Mega Man he catches them and sends the charged ones back. He flies back up and repeats. Hit Shade Man with Wild Coils when he comes down, either to attack or if you're good on a dive. If he's hit with a charged Wild Coil he starts his wave all over. If you hit Shade Man with a Noise Crush of your own he is charged and sends it back.

Interlude
Some where in Shade Man's stage Mega Man will meet up with Bass and Treble. It seems that he couldn't handle Shad Man, so Mega Man invites him to go to Dr. Light for repairs.

Turbo Man
Surge Wheel forms a wheel of four fire balls that rolls a head till it hits a wall, pit, or enemy, hold the fire button to delay its release
Noise Crush Turbo Man being by jumping up and sending out a Scorch Wheel. It will land where ever Mega Man is, then roll up the wall, and fall back as flames. One hit will drain a specific amount of damage and immobilizes Mega Man. Dodge this by sliding forward, then sliding back. Next Turbo Man turns on the jets and tries to suck you in. Slide the other way. Finally he turns into a car and tries to run you over a few times. Just jump each time he passes. Hit him with a noise crush to start the pattern over.

Interlude
Mega Man comes home to find the lab trashed and Dr. Wily appears on the screen. It turns out that Bass and Treble were his creations and he took advantage of Mega Man and Dr. Light's kindness. They stole Mega Man and Rush's enhancements (Hyper Rocket Buster) and will use them for themselves.

Skull Castle

Bass
Lighting Bolt, Rocket Buster Bass is the mini-boss of this stage and will challenge Mega Man. His attack is just jumping medium height and small distance back and forth in the room. During the jumps he will shoot, first two separate shots, then a charged one. Just dodge him and fire with the Rocket Buster or Lighting Bolt if you don't have the Super Adaptor.

Guts Man IV
Slash Claw Guts Man is the final boss and remade for the forth time with tank treads and a huge arm. He'll jump in place, which causes rocks from the ceiling to fall and the ceiling to drop a little. Finally a big rock will fall where Mega Man is and Guts Man will charge and fling the rock to the right side of the room. Either jump over it or use Slash Claw to ram at Guts man instead. Sometimes Guts Man will cause then charge at Mega Man. Use Rush to get over Guts Man on his charge and when he returns. He you get caught he throws you into the ceiling. Dodges these attacks and hit Guts Man squarely on his head with Slash Claw, if you don't fell like getting close use the Mega Buster. During the fight don't worry about the ceiling completely falling in, Guts Man won't kill himself too.

Super Bass and Treble
Lighting Bolt, Rocket Buster Bass out for the finale match and uses the stolen enhancements to turn into Super Bass (like Super Mega Man with jet packs and Rocket buster). The fans will turn on in the room and give higher jumping abilities to both players. Bass will hop around and fire to shots. Then he'll seek Mega Man and get level. He'll fly in a loop, charge the Rocket Buster (he'll on fire) then will release it. The Buster will chase Mega Man but on goes a room's length. The best way to dodge this is lead Bass to the top of the room, by hanging around there. Dodge his aerial maneuvers then when he shoots, fall to the bottom of the room and be out of range for the Rocket Buster. Bass's weaknesses are the same and the Rocket Buster with the Hyper Rocket Buster is recommended.

Gamera
Wild Coil This robotic turtle has three attacks; fire, charge, and little turtles. The fire attack is to spit out two separate Mega Man size chains of fire. Just jump over them. If you get hit Mega Man will be on fire and immune to everything except the fire he is on, similar to Surge Wheel. The charge is he pulls his head in and rams several times into the wall. Just slide underneath him on the advance and return. The last attack is to drop a box and fly off. The box sends out three turtles that attack depending on the number of the box. A one is the turtles move forward and jump strait up occasionally. Two is the turtles will bounce around the room, and three is the turtles will burrow in the ground and surface randomly. Use Danger Warp on the first turtle and send it to the nest and Danger Wrap the last and send it to the big turtle when it returns. Use Wild Coil on the head of the turtle that can only be done when it spits fire.

Evil Mask
Noise Crush Charge up a Noise Crush before you enter since you can't later. The Mask will chase Mega Man on an eternal stretch of platform and has this wave. Shoot out missiles with bomb heads but Mega Man can ride, slide or jump. Since the Mask bounces while it flies the missiles are at different levels. Next try the laser beam the platform by sliding waving it at a specific range of platform, slide to the front. Finally send out two bombs at Mega Man, slide to dodge. Keep running and when you are able turn and hit it on the nose with Noise Crush.

Dr. Wily Skull Walker
Lighting Bolt Wily first appears in what is a huge skull machine with legs. He either hops along the screen, time a slide underneath, or sends out two miniatures robots of the rider. When you destroy the little robots Wily will quickly walk the rest of the screen, just slide. Hit the window Wily is in with the Lighting Bolt and use another weapon to remove the little robots, Junk Shield works well since you can do damage while it is coming on Mega Man.

Escape Pod
Freeze Cracker With the first done Wily (again) attacks with a little pod. It disappears and reappears on the screen. Then it will shot out four balls. If it's red it works like a Surge Wheel, if it's blue it works like a Freeze Cracker, if it's yellow it works like a Lighting Bolt. The balls first spread out, pause, each moves in different directions, not all the same, pause, and then move off screen again not each in the same direction. These are harder to dodge. If you hit Wily with a Lighting Bolt, are hit with a blue ball, or actually hit Wily, he shoots lighting to the floor, which can easily jumped. Use fast sliding and send the Freeze Crackers at the right angles to Wily. If you know you can't dodge Wily jump into him, which does less damage than being hit with one of the balls.

Epilogue
With the robots destroyed, Dr. Wily consents to go quietly. Mega Man begs to differ and charges his Mega Buster. Dr. Wily pleads that robots can't harm humans. (Issac Asmonov was a great science fiction writer and in his works he set the basis of of that style as Tolkien did for fantasy. These are the rules for robots in any good work of science fiction from I, Robot:
  1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm
  2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
This is what Wily is referring to, and now back to our program.) Mega Man says that he is more than a robot and to die. Right before the Mega Buster is release an alarm goes off and steel beams fall on Dr. Wily. Treble appears and whisks Wily off and Bass retorts that Mega Man is weak and cannot win. The alarm goes off again and Skull Castle blows up. Mega Man goes home and is greeted by all of his friends.
