It demonstrates the immense variety in his work to date. His chilled out breakbeat is captured fantastically by both 'Glasshouses' (complete with samples of whales) and 'Liquid Fumes', while his F-step roots are evident on his genial creation 'F Anthem' and his collaboration with DJ Abel on 'Nasty', the first ever F-step song recorded. In between, there is the powerful jungle of 'There Will Always Be a North Pole' and his most genre-hopping piece 'Choral Reef'. A remix of St. Catharine's College choir, the latter sways between techno, breakbeat and ambience and is proof of this artists capability. The relentless sampling of Tony Hancock lays bare this artist's roots in stand-up comedy. This CD is a very interesting introduction to this artist, from whom much more can be expected.
