2000 Military Ball

Here the King & Queen and Mr. & Ms. JROTC receive their crowns.  They were selected by popular vote from all the cadets in the battalion.  Far left and far right are 1SG Williams  and MAJ Harden, who did the honors.  Cadets from left to right are Ms. JROTC, Phelicia Goodgain, Mr. JROTC Geofrey Moss, JROTC Queen, Kimberly Fails, and JROTC King, Dexter White.  The 2000 Military Ball was a great success and a wonderful experience for our cadets.  Special thanks goes out to the 117th Air Refueling Wing for letting us use their beautiful facility on the Air National Guard Base. The atmosphere was magical as two fire places roared away with Christmas cheer.  Thanks for SMSGT Porkorski and LTC Smith for making this occasion possible. We would also like to thank Mrs. Wanda King for a marvelous job in catering the event, as well as SFC Doug Tyree for his Disc Jockey duties. Special quest included MAJ Harden's distinguished escort, MAJ General George Bowman, The Booster Club, (Mr. & Ms King, Ms Johnson, Ms McGowen, SFC Kinard, and Ms Dansby).  In addition 30 cadets from West End High School JROTC attended the affair along with their SAI & AI, MAJ Suther and MSG Terrell. Last but not least, recognition goes to SFC Masters' wife, Cherie, for her fabulous work with the invitations, programs, and our internet web site.
