Daytona 2001

REPORTER EPHRAIM BRANTLEYWhazzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaapp!! This is you S2, Ephraim Brantley, comin back from that Daytona Beach, boyeah!! That junk was crunck!!! You should’ve been there! We left for Daytona on April 25 at 12:00 am. We gathered our stuff and after a doin some time, we finally got on the bus. When we got on the highway, they had the nerve to put on the MATRIX. They be trippin! I watched that bootlegged movie so many times that I can practically quote it, so I just hit the sack. When I woke up, we were in Jacksonville, Florida at Shoney’s. To make a long story short, we grubbed down. When we dipped, I stayed awake long enough to see us enter Daytona. Let me tell you that that place is clean. I want to live there, but I’m stuck here…..too bad. We got to the civic center (the place where the drills were taking place), and we had to wait bout two hours for Major and her crew to get out of there. THE SUN WAS HOT!!
We then went to the resort. I call it a hotel because a resort has working bathrooms and actually more than one room (the guys in rm.721 know bout that). Poor me, the guys in my room was a bunch of quacks. Despite all of these setbacks, we had fun at the hotel anyway. By the way, thank you chaperones for your help in Daytona! We couldn't have done it without you! Well there wasn’t much to do at the hotel. Their Game Room suck to high heaven, so we had to find our own source of entertainment. To stop this boredom we resorted to other means such as playin someone's N64, playin tackle football on the beach, and runnin around the hotel like a bunch of little kids. But hey, that’s entertainment.’
Here comes the good part......The National High School Drill Meet! High schools from all over the nation, plus Puerto Rico and Japan, went there to compete for the numero uno spot! Let me be the one to tell you that the drills they had up there were too tight. I still think our Armed and Unarmed Drill Teams, and Color Guards were the best out there. Good job everyone! Ya’ll did yall best and that’s all that counts. Even though we didn’t win any trophies, we did get a cool little plaque to bring home ( I still say that we are #1). But hey, dont worry bout it, we'll get them next year.
Now for the part you've all been waiting for.........Islands Of Adventure!!!!! If that place wasn’t so crunck, I dont know what is. When we first got there, we headed straight for Marvel. The first ride we tried to get on was Dr. Doom's Fear Fall, but it was way too crowded. So me, Rod (Two), Wil, and Sgt. Masters went to a very, very, very tight ride called Dueling Dragons. First we rode Ice and sat in the front, then rode Fire and sat in the third row. Now that was hype. We also rode two water rides, tried to talk to a rock in a fountain (a rock that only spoke after we left), and then rode the best roller coaster there......The Incredible Hulk Coaster, and I think we rode in dead front. From that ride I got a funny picture of us, so if you want to see it just ask. Thats bout it. We left the park later and  went home. Like I said....I want to live there. Well, thats it for the newsletter. This will be posted on-line so if you want to see it go to the web site. This is your S2 Ephraim Brantley sayin God bless you and remember, Carpe Diem, yeah boyeah.

                                                          Peace!!!
